The product is called Total Body Lift "Stubborn Cellulite Control" and the packaging says 'firms, refines, tones'. One can't help but think dubiously about these promises, and we've all been told time and time again that no products can cure cellulite - it's all about drinking lots of water and toning your muscles through exercise. However...I've been using this product for some time now and I have to say I love it!

I originally bought this product after reading a review of several cellulite creams in a magazine which rated it the top product. It is very pricey - I bought it from Boots for £30 for a 200ml bottle. This bottle has lasted me for months now, but only because I do not use it every day, as the instructions suggest. As it is an expensive product I personally use it as a bit of a pampering treat, but if you can afford to buy this product on a regular basis then I can only assume the effects will be even stronger.

I am fortunate enough to not suffer from bad cellulite and so it is possible that those who suffer from a more severe form may not get the same results; I can only comment on my own experience.

The great thing about this cream is that you can really feel like it working. Shortly after applying the cream you can feel your skin tingle and you experience a kind of cold sensation where it has been applied. This tends to last for about half an hour after you've applied it, but it is in no way uncomfortable or unpleasant. The cream is absorbed within minutes and does not leave any residue on the skin. Skin definitely feels tighter and looks more defined and it gives you a little boost of confidence for the bedroom.

According to Clarins after 4 weeks of daily use thighs can be up to 3cm thinner and the visible appearance of cellulite can be reduced by up to 38%. These are bold claims, and claims that I am skeptical of. As I do not use it on a daily basis I can neither confirm or deny them, but I can say that my cellulite has not worsened since buying the product. This was my main reason for purchasing it - to avoid it developing and try to stop it from happening. It is, after all, advertised as acting on the early stages of cellulite as well as the later stages. This has worked, but whether it would have worsened without the use of the product remains a mystery. Furthermore, I don't think this product should be brought with the word 'cure' in mind, I believe it will help to reduce the appearance (and possibly some causes) of cellulite, but dont expect to be left with no signs at all!

However, now that I have used the product I cant see myself going back and will continue to buy it. Not only can you feel it working and you can feel your skin tauten, but it also leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth like any good moisturiser. So are there any downsides at all? The only one I can think of is that the smell is quite unusual and that it could be made more pleasant with a bit of fragrance. But all in all, I'd recommend that every woman go out and buy some of this and try it out for yourselves, it's definitely a must-have for me...I just wish it was cheaper!
