This is one of my ultimate favourites. It was love at first sight and I know I am going to be loyal and faithful to this foundation for years.

My friend recommended it to me during my painful search for a perfect foundation. I needed something light, suitable for combination skin, good coverage, "special effects" and of course, bearable price.

And one day, what a beautiful day of beautiful things, I discovered True Radiance Foundation.

Priced £21.00 for a 30ml bottle it's available in Debenhams, Boots, Lloyds Pharmacy and other shops. Mine is from Lloyds Pharmacy.

Ingredients: Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Cyclomethicome, Glycerine, Isononyl, Isononanoate, Bis-peg/ppg-14/14 dime-ticone, propylene glycol, sodium chloride, cetyl dimethicone, vinyl dimethicone / methicone silsesquiglycol, distearimonium hectorite, peg/ppg-20/15 dimethicone, fragrance, silica, triethoxycaprylyn, silane, disodium edta, hydrolysed wheat protein, mannitol, horse chestnut seed extract, ginseng root extract, tilia cordata root extract, ficus carica (fig) fruit, sucrose, aluminia, yeast extract, calcium pantothenate, hydrogenated castor oil, biotin, sorbic acid, butylparaben, methylparaben, phenoxyethanol. And every word is true...

It's light. It's oil-free and non-greasy. You DO NOT FEEL IT on your face AT ALL!!! You forget you've got a foundation on your face and everybody around you think that you have perfect, ideal, unbelievably gorgeous skin.

Yes, you cannot see it once applied and it stays on all day. I decided to wear it for about 12 hours as a test on my day 1 of this love affair. I never though of it, not for a second, whereas usually I feel like scratching my face and washing off all my make-up within 30-60 minutes - trust me, I am THAT sensitive.

But my little miracle was perfect all day. It was hot, too. About 30 C but it didn't make any difference. Saying this in case you like wearing foundation in summer.

My skin stayed matt, I had very little shine on my t-zone after a long day, which is quite normal. It didn't dry my skin either. It really is very comfortable.

It also contains tiny particles of gold, or gold pigments, but don’t worry, you are not going to look like you used a sparkling powder all over your face. It’s very subtle and yet highlights all the best features of your face and illuminate the complexion.

The bottle is made of a matt glass with red (again, Clarins colour) writing and a red metallic lid that you just press on. The bottle comes with a pump, so you can get an exact amount of foundation you need.

You get a small, about pea-size amount of this lightly perfumed creamy liquid, warm between the fingertips of both hands and then apply using light, sweeping movements from the middle of the face outwards.

Then you look in a mirror and start falling in love with your reflection because you see yourself in a completely new light - in a light of True Radiance.
