It's a nice fresh tasting toothpaste. Excellent for everyday cleaning. I use it on a daily basis and so do all my family. It cleans your teeth and leaves your mouth feeling fresh. I like to think it helps keep my teeth white but I cannot say that it definately does. It does not remove any stains that are already there but may help to keep new ones from forming as much as they would if I used another toothpaste. I like this toothpaste a lot more than any of the other toothpastes on the market at the moment. A good all round toothpaste well recommended to people who want to keep their smile the way it is. I do have some trouble like most of us with my teeth gradually staining over a period of time. I am not a smoker but some of the usual things we consume day to day such as tea and coffee can have the effect of staining the enamel on our teeth.
I therefore decided to try various whitening toothpastes. I decide against trying whitening systems because my dentist advised me that some of these can be abrasive and that serious whitening treatment is probably best left to dentists and qualified professionals.
Anyway, I have tried a few brands and toothpastes within each brand and I did not notice any real whitening effect or maintenance of my existing tooth colour when using Colgate TotalPlusWhitening. It cleaned my teeth very well but I am not sure about its Whitening effectiveness.
