This is Clarityn, another one of those 'miracle cures', that will suspend the agony of hayfever for up to 24 hours to help give your sinuses a break. It's suitable for other allergies as well, such as airborne allergies like house dust mites or pet irritations. It can also help prevent the spread and heal skin conditions such as rashes, itching and urticaria - otherwise known as hives.
The product comes in dark blue packaging, with very little surrounding the box. An illustrated picture of what appears to be grass and pollen is found in the bottom right hand corner, but other than that it's just text-based.
7 tablets come in each packet, all of which are small, white tablets which come in the usual metallic packaging, intriguingly spread around the metallic case at random, but I suppose that's what you get for having 7 in a pack, rather than a sane, even number.
Each tablet contains loratadine 10mg, which is the main component to help combat allergies. Now, clearly I'm no scientist, so can't exactly tell you what this does, but it seems to work as it's a type of medicine called a non-sedating antihistamine. Job done then!
Only one tablet per day is required for adults and children over the age of two who, importantly, weigh more than 30kg. With 7 in each packet, there's your weeks allowance right there. Convenient, but invariably you may need to buy more. The directions on the back of the packet state if you have a severe liver problem, you may need to take one tablet every other day, and obviously do not give to children under the age of two years.
Other, kind of obvious information is stated on the packet, but it's always important to provide it, such as do not take if you're pregnant or breast feeding, if problems persist consult your doctor, and keep out of reach and sight from children. The little blighters! More information is found inside the packet as what to do in case of an overdose - contact your doctor. Or the manufacturers contact information.
Boots tend to sell this product for approximately £2.99, which isn't cheap, but the same price as other similar products such as Piriteze. But I guess you can't afford to cut back in price if you want a product that does the job. Hayfever can be one of the most annoying and irritable illnesses you can ever wish to come across. Whoever invented it needs shooting! Whoever finds a miracle cure needs canonising!
Advantages: Cheap, effective Disadvantages: Not 100% when hayever reaches its peak
...have helped me immensely.
Clarityn tablets is one I use every summer & the most effective for me, you have to realise that although they work for one person they make not work for others, it really is trail & error.
They are relatively cheap, less than £3.00 a box, each summer for the past three years Tesco sells two for the price of one, each box lasts one week.
Clarityn contains an active ingredient called Loratadine, a non sedating antihistamine ... ...magnesium stearate. The manufacturer of Clarityn is Schering-Plough Labs in Belgium. There are seven tablets in a box, one taken every day will last a week, each tablet will prevent a running nose, watery eyes, sneezing caused by hay fever or any other year round allergy. They are also suitable for certain skin allergies.
There will be people who are allergic to Clarityn, but if not there is some important guidelines to consider. Clarityn should ...

Advantages: It works (for me, atleast), quite cheap, very efficient Disadvantages: Should come in bigger packs, doesn't always stop100% of my sneezing
I don't actually buy Clarityn Allergy Tablets, but I do on the other hand get prescribed thirty 10mg Loratadine Tablets by my GP, which are the same, just in a different box.
I've tried lots of different Hayfever and Allergy tablets over the years, and Loratadine has to be my favourite, and the one that works best. They come in boxes of thirty, which in my opinion is a little silly considering half the years months have 31 tablets in them - maybe ... ...in packs of 32, which would allow for the months which have 31 days in them, and the left over tablet(s) can be used for them days you forget to go pick up another box from the chemists, or Tesco's in my case.
When I run out of Loratadine, and have to put up with my hayfever for a couple of days until I manage to get time to pick up my next 30, my symptoms immediately become worse, I find it really hard to sleep because I have a runny or stuffed ...

Advantages: Fast acting and non-drowsy Disadvantages: A bit pricey, doesn't help itchy eyes
...over-the counter hayfever relief goes, Clarityn presents a fairly good product. Its expensive, but its probably the best value of all the loratadine based allergy tablets.
No hay fever tablets are cheap - where possible, get prescription - but these at least aren't prohibitively pricey.
They work reasonably fast - I reckon they're active after around 20 minutes. They are non-drowsy and you can drink (in moderation) while taking them, making them ... ...rashes and hives. You can only take them if you weight more than 30 kilograms.
My only reservation is that they don't seem to stop the eye-itchiness that comes with hay fever.
All in all I rate Clarityn highly - effective, fast and affordable over-the-counter hay fever relief. ...

Advantages: Seems to help eye irritation slightly Disadvantages: Poor when in environments high in levels of pollen or dust
When i first bought Clarityn i believed that the tablets would help my mild hayfever as the advertisements suggest. However, for me they had very little effect. If the pollen count is low there is a good chance the tablets will work but if it is high they will struggle to make much of a positive effect. They are absolutely useless if working in a dusty environment, as i found out recently. I was working around a moderate amount of dust and even after ... ...nose that refused to stop running and felt extremely tired. The only positive change was a lack of itching of the eyes. So after one day of working just a few hours, i felt as if i had been working solidly for a whole week. I would only advise this medication if you have had positive experiences with it or if you only suffer from an extremely mild case of hayfever. Otherwise steer clear and look for other alternitives for example 'Piriton'. ...

Advantages: Stop factors which triggers the allergy, provides relief, does not cause drowsiness Disadvantages: should not be used by pregnant women and children under 2 years of age, other possible side effects
Clarityn Allergy tablets, in my opinion, should be highly recommended to hayfever and allergy sufferers. Clarityn contains loratadine which was a drug used to cure allergies and stop which triggers it. I am an allergy sufferer too. Clarityn, for us allergy sufferers, makes our life more easier. Because unlike other allergy medicines, Clarityn does not cause drowsiness. I can still continue what I am doing without being disturbed by the loratadine. ... ...also has its disadvantages. First, Clarityn should not be used by mothers who are pregnant and breastfeeding and by children who are under two years of age. Second, even though it does not cause drowsiness, it also has other possible side effects. My friend used it, and she has a headache after taking it. Doctors said that its a possible side effect of the drug, but it is not that dangerous, though. ...

Advantages: Gets rid of allergy with no drowsiness Disadvantages: Can cause hair loss
ClaritynAllergy is a medicine which comes in the form of either rtablets or syrup. It is designed to give you relief from most allergies and allergic reactions within minutes. I find it is very good, and I'm going to tell you a little about it.
About Me...
I get hayfever and other allergic reactions very quickly and easily - I'm coughing and spluttering right now, and it's only seven in the morning, probably eight by the time I've finished. Hayfever is terrbile for me, and Summer is my least-favourite time of year - I needed to act fast!
What I did...
I went down to my local pharmacy, where I was presented with a range of products. I took one, which wasn't Clarityn, and it had an awful effect on me - it just made it worse. I tried about three others until I came to Clarityn. I had left it till last, because the price tag was ...

Advantages: No drowsiness, 24 hour relief Disadvantages: Take a while to work
. These include Benadryl, Piriteze and Clarityn, as well as store own brands.
After a bit of deliberation, I finally settled on a box of ClaritynAllergy tablets. These are manufactured by Schering-Plough Ltd. and come in a blue box. You'll find seven tablets in each box and a patient information leaflet. To be honest, 7 tablets per box does not strike me as many, especially given that I paid a whopping £4.00 for them, but I suppose you are paying for "convenience".
Clarityn tablets not only provide relief for hayfever, but also for other allergies, including airbourne allergies, such as house dust mite and pet allergies. They can also be taken for allergic skin conditions, including rash and itching.
On the box, it says that Clarityn are fast acting and provide 24 hour relief. Whilst I can vouch for the fact that they provide 24 ...

Advantages: Stops Hayfever and other allergies and is quite cheap. Disadvantages: Leaflet takes a while to read.
I was beginning to feel really rough as I couldn?t stop sneezing all the time and it felt like I had a constant cold and it got really bad whenever I went outside the house. It was only when my friend?s mum suggested I might have hay fever that I decided to do something about it, so off I trundled to Boots to find a remedy to stop the sneezing and my runny nose.
The Purchase
I went in and was attracted to a big display, which said ? 3 for 2 on Hay fever medicines?. They had a range of about six or so and the four, which caught my eye. ClaritynAllergy tablets, Benodryl allergy tablets, Rhinolast Nasal Spray and Beconase Nasal Spray. The 1st problem I encountered was that Clarityn and Benodryl were tablets and I have real trouble swallowing tablets so that ruled them out and also the fact that they were very expensive. So it left ...
