About every 6-9 months, we need to buy new shoes, and what better place to do just that then Clarks, one of the UK's top shoe shops.
THE WINDOWS
I've seen many Clarks stores are very basic when it comes to windows, this Clarks had a few shoes on display, nothing else. Not drawing me in.
SHOPABILITY
There's a range of shoes in Clarks, adult shoes, trainers, school shoes and shoes for babies and toddlers. You could clearly see all the shoes being displayed, but I found everything tightly packed and there were very few different types of shoes in each selection. (e.g. one or two "Bootleg" and one or two "YoToy" under trainers)
WAS I BEING SERVED?
There were two people in the shop who could serve you, and they were helpful, there was one who was on the till, and one helping people try on their shoes, and also working the till. I got served by the one who was helping people try on their shoes, and also working the till. However, I did have to get a ticket because for children's fiting, (I am 10,) you must take a ticket, and they'll call out your number, then you get served.
DID I BUY?
Yes, some very nice YoToy school shoes.
ONLINE
I would say that the website is bigger then most of the stores, with an attractive homepage, a page about women's shoes, men's shoes and children's shoes, (all seperate). They also have a store locator and you can register a Clarks account.
PRICE
The price for the shoes in Clarks is very good, some shoe shops charge you about £47.50 for some size 4 shoes, but Clarks charge you for £36.
VERDICT
Clarks have a problem with stock, there's not enough. I would have to say, that for children, they don't have that much of a choice.
