WWF No Mercy
Advantages: Create a Wrestler, Career Mode, Ladder Match, Royal Rumble & More Disadvantages: Blood was pulled from the non glitched version
WWF No Mercy is quite possibly; in my view at least, the best Wrestling game currently on the market. It is only availble for the Nintendo 64 however the graphics and gameplay are just excellent. There is a little bit of slowdown occasionally when using the 4 player ladder mode, but it is worth it for all the fun and hours of enjoyment this game provides!
Whether it's you against the computer in the career mode trying to win the championships or ... ...heads together. All of these wants have been accounted for in this great game. Also the features are great, while Smackdown 2 may host more options I believe No Mercy to be just as good and the ladder mode is beautifully made and is a pleasure to play.
As is the Royal Rumble, the trons as they enter the ring, the shop & just about eery aspect of the game is finely detailed right down to facial features. The infamous glitch may have turned some away, ...

Smash Hits
Advantages: Original and simple fighting system, unique levels for battle, multiplayer! Disadvantages: Computer A.I. could be better, graphically rather average
*A review of Super Smash Bros. for N64.*
An original fighting game where famous Nintendo and Hal Laboratory characters do battle! Mix it with Mario, fight as Fox, or pick Pikachu - but don't lose it with Luigi!
When a character takes damage, instead of having a health bar decrease as in traditional fighting games, a percentage stat - which indicates the likeliness of being knocked out of the stage - increases. The game has weapon-use thrown in ... ...numbers - multi-player is where Super Smash Bros. comes into it's own. It was a reason why I wanted a Nintendo 64 so bad many summers ago.
I admit that I am not much of a fighting game fan but I like playing this title. The game is fairly simple to play with a basic paper-rock-scissors mechanism in place, but having four characters doing battle works wonders. ...

this is EXTREMEly poor
Advantages: Great CAW mode, authentic characters & animation, Lots of match options Disadvantages: Awkward & fiddly controls, dodgy graphics, impossibly hard single player mode
...lot of appeal to hardcore ECW fans: all the favourite grapplers are there, from Rob Van Dam to Sabu to Raven to Justin Credible, along with "The Amish Warrior" Roadkill and Little Spike Dudley. The animation on these characters is nice too, with authentic entrances and movements via motion capture. However, it does has to be said that the characters themselves look very silly, as do a lot of their 'bone crunching, crippling' moves, which a lot of ... ...you at oppertune moments, with ECW commentator Joey Styles giving rediculously stilted commentary the whole time. One thing you won't be hearing is authentic ECW entrance themes, though, since ECW uses copyrighted songs and weren't willing to cough up the money to use them in the game. So instead you are 'treated' to horrendous and hilarious MIDI entrance themes that sound about as EXTREME as feeding ducks on a quiet sunday morning. Just like everything ...

C'mon C'mon!
Advantages: Very playable, fluid movements Disadvantages: Few options, not as good as other SNK fighting games
...and there is a large array of moves to learn too.
Fatal Fury - First Contact is perhaps a little weaker than the other SNK fighters, but nonetheless, it is still a worthwhile game. The NGP is really proving itself to be a perfect machine for these games! ...

Dragonball Z: Supersonic Warriors
Advantages: Good graphics, sound, great fight simulation, lots of options and moves. Disadvantages: Naff story sections, ne definable tiers in strength of different characters.
DRAGONBALL Z: HOW GAME ARE YOU?
Dragonball Z is a Japanese animated cartoon series, made up of several different sagas. Within Dragonball Z, there is a large number of main characters who defend the Earth against powerful forces of evil and who are on a constant mission to recover the "Dragonballs" (7 orange spheres, which when brought together grant the finder a single wish). Of course the good guys want the Dragonballs to bring their comerades ... ...also for selfish immortality. Herein is a great tool for games because Dragonball Z features plenty of fighting action, using energy beams and hand to hand combat. In addition to this, almost all of the characters can fly. For the Playstation 2, there were Budokai 1 and 2. Both of these have proved very popular with fight-loving gamers and Dragonball Z fans alike. Meanwhile, the more compact GBA screen was lighting up with action from The Legacy ...
