it was the first and is still the best!
Advantages: great opponents, suits a wide variety of gaming talents Disadvantages: limited attacking and defending options
Other games of the same type were later released on the SNES and Sega Master System but this was the best version by a long way!
In this game you play Joe, a determined, average boxer trying to make it as a contender, hopefully one day winning the title.
You start off trying to overcome opponents in the lower divisions and as you beat them you work your way up to better, stronger, some what humorous characters.
You only had limited attacks and ... ...block, left block & right block) but the idea of the game is figuring out when best to use each option.
Each opponent has a different fighting style and special attack so no two fighters are the same, this helps the games playability.
The sound was very limited and the game tune can become a little annoying but this does not take away from the game very much.
As the game goes on and you defeat more and more opponents they become harder and harder. ...

Great but not outstanding
Advantages: fun and exciting Disadvantages: not original or very challenging
Super puzzle fighter 2 was a great game. I enjoyed playing it alot but there were a few problems I had with it. For one, it is not an entirely original game, there have been many games like it, its originality relies more on the enphasis of the characters. It was deffinately fun to play but it wasn't very challenging. Even master arcade which you can unlock in the street puzzle selection from the menu wasnt all that hard. The game takes alot of pre ... ...have to be able to do this very fast and rely alot on instictive plays when taking part in master arcade. All the extra stuff which you can unlock was deffinately a good bonus to have in the game. You can unlock each characters invidual voices and songs, pictures/wallpapers and sakura's original song which she actually sing in. It was very quick to complete, I managed to clock the whole game in less than 3/4 hours. ...

Amazing
Advantages: Amazing Storyline Disadvantages: n/a
Final Fantasy 7 was in my opinion the most amazing of all final fantasies. The game was absolutely outstanding. The storyline was incredible and unbelieveble. The chracters all play a vital role in the game and have their individual background stories which is great. The bosses were brilliant, at times hard to beat but that just made it all the more fullfilling when accomplushing the challenge. When I started playing i could't stop, it was ingenious. ... ...of all the games. No other final fantasy can match it. I have recommended it to all my friends but that didn't do much as they all had played it and completed it aswell. Most would agree with me in saying that 7 is a hard final fantasey to beat. ...

Virtual Stadium Soccer - Virtual Fun?
Advantages: The quality of football is decent, awesome goal celebrations Disadvantages: Dodgy camera, poor goalkeepers, skipping Virtual Board
...consoles, it's a first for FIFA Soccer as 96 sees to 3D football - in the form of Virtual Stadium soccer. But it won't be long before you get bored of the Virtual Board, and thus be skipping the footy footage and crazy cartoons that are shown on the small screen. Also a first for FIFA is the real player names, however, it is short on stats and the league table is simplistic.
As for the action, when it comes down to the choice of camera, the Tele ... ...with pixels, the graphics in FIFA Soccer 96 are not fully 3D. The animations for the goal celebrations are awesome! - and regardless of the match, players celebrate a win as if they had just won a trophy! Audio-wise, whilst the commentary from John Motson feels restricted, it never really gets repetitive.
A fair footy game, and although it doesn't feel as if it was made by fans of the sport, the gameplay does give greater depth than say, FIFA 06, ...
