The Blur in Blue!
Advantages: Fast paced, great music, variety of zones Disadvantages: Few levels
Sonic The Hedgehog was born in 1991, and quickly became the mascot for Sega during the 90's through its master system, and mega drive consoles. I myself, was, and still is, a massive Sonic fan - you were either a Sonic or Mario follower, and over the years, I cannot accept the fact that slowly but surely, Sega have began to kill the character, which ultimately brought the Mega Drive to its peak status! Let's hope that the latest proposal, Porject ... ...moment, its safe to say Sonic is clutching onto life with a thread.... lets hope Project Needlemouse isn't the final nail in the coffin - I'd be absolutely gutted if it was. I thought it was only right that I'd review the original game, which started it all for me! Gameplay Dr Robotnik, the evil scientist, has flooded parts of the island with robots ( badniks) and it is up to Sonic to progess through these zones in order to defeat Dr Robotnik, ...

All hail Sonic the 2nd
Advantages: Length, Gameplay, A magical factor, Tails, Multiplayer Disadvantages: Sonic 3 was prettier, The final boss was a pain in the backside
After the great Sonic The Hedgehog Sega released Sonic 2, a game many fans in the series still view as the best game out their. Returning was Sonic and Dr Robotnik (the evil mad scientist bad antagonist) and joining the crew was Sonic's best friend Miles “Tails” Prower, a two tailed fox. With the excellent first game Sonic had become Sega's mascot the one to rival Nintendo's great plumber Mario in the steaks of platforming games. Released originally ... ...that this wasn't the first Sonic 2, the Sonic 2 on the Mega Drive was an entirely different game as the one on the Game Gear and Master System. Sadly having never played that version this is all about the Mega Drive one.
Sonic lands on an Island for a vacation, sadly it's also the same Island Robotnik has landed on looking for a source of power for his Death Star clone (the Death Egg...very original) in the form of the 7 Chaos Emeralds (an improvement ...

Sonic Has Entered The Age Of 3D
Advantages: Graphics | 3D | Characters | Story Disadvantages: 3D
...review is about the game Sonic 3D, it is the first Sonic game to be in 3D. It first came out on the Games Console The Megadrive, and then when consoles got better, it was remade to suit them consoles. When Sega Saturn came out, it was remade for that console. Sonic 3D has many 3D adventures for you to interact around. You are only able to control Sonic, as he is the main character for this game.

Sonic gets to interact with Tails ... ...If you don't know, Sonic is a blue hedgehog, who can run really really fast, he has loads of friends, like Tails which is a two tailed fox, and Knuckles, which is something I don't know, and he has a girl friend, or maybe not, called Amy, which is also a hedgehog which is Pink. Just letting people know about this if they did not know who Sonic was. In this game you do have mini robots that you need to fight in the game that is how you get flicky's, ...

Sub Sonic
Advantages: Graphics, Sounds, Gameplay Disadvantages: Longevity, Poor Multiplayer
Sonic 3 came out in the mid 1990's on the back of the huge success of the previous 2 main Sonic games (Sonic The Hedgehog and Sonic 2) and featured the main protagonist from the previous 2 games, Sonic (the titular character) who's an infamous blue hedgehog. He's joined by his two tailed fox friend Miles “Tails” Prower (Yes Miles Per-Hour...) and the returning antagonist Dr Robotnik (still known by such a name in Europe at the time, his name how ... ...playing as Sonic, Tails or Sonic and Tails (a second player can control Tails in that final option) as you start the game you are given the typical sonic starting level. A green level that looks pretty and is a definite graphical improvement over much of what we had on Sonic 2, though as always seemed the case the opening levels in early Sonic games are green, not a complaint merely an observation. The first act (levels on this are called stages ...

All Hail Death Adder!
Advantages: Nostalgic, fun, tense, long. Disadvantages: A teensy bit dated.
A classic nostalgic side-scrolling fantasy beat-em-up with lots of replayability value. Battle your way through barren wastes, castles and cities as one of three characters. Gillias Thunderhead - a white-haired bearded dwarf, Tryas Flare, a red-headed agile swordswoman or Ax Battler, a broadsword-wielding muscle man. Each possesses their own unique special magic ability which pauses the game and deals death to everyone around. These come in the form ... ...(1-2) must battle through hordes of warriors and bosses in order to ultimately defeat the tyrant Death Adder. The combat, whilst a little repetitive is very intense and technique must be worked upon to play effectively. - Its not just a button-basher. This is probably one of the most important games of all time and is a benchmark in gaming history, it was the inspiration for classics such as Streets of Rage and also spawned many sequels. Definitely ...
