Advantages: Beautifully filmed, poetic, magnificently acted masterpiece of cinema rarely matched today
Disadvantages: Nothing... genuinely nothing

I first saw Hotel du Nord as part of a double bill with a film by Jean Renoir (I forget which - though I think the brilliant Le Crime De Monsieur Lange) and I was frankly going to see the Renoir film and thought, hmmm, I'll just have to sit through Hotel du Nord and grin and bear it. Something about the film just really didn't appeal. Then right from the opening shot that tracks down from the bridge over the canal Saint Martin and along the side of the canal to where the two lovers, played by Annabella and Jean-Pierre Aumont, settle against one another on a bench, despairing and apparently doomed I simply didn't look back. I couldn't. Since that Sunday afternoon I have always had something of a soft spot for Hotel du Nord. It is firmly placed in the traditional of French cinema of the thirties. Something In The 'Wave' She Moves...

Advantages: It certainly does make skin feel cleaner and tauter
Disadvantages: If it's meant to prevent spots, it certainly doesn't do that! Not good for sensitive skin.

Presented by the lovely, if not slightly hyper, High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens, the new ?Wave? offered buyers a cleaning system that ?deeply removes dirt, oil and make up? to fight spots whilst making skin visibly softer after just one use. The advert did make me a little dubious though; its whole presentation with Hudgen?s cooing over a pink and white vibrating piece of plastic was questionable, not to mention the price tag ...

Intro** I bought this bronzer from The Body Shop in Stafford a few months back. I really went in to get some lip balm, but came out with this because I thought it looked really nice and to be honest I was a little tempted by Staff. So, this product is shimmer waves and it is used to make your face look that little bit bronzed and refreshed. The shade of this is obviously bronze and it has 5 different tones which create a great effect on your face. It is quite expensive because it is £15.00 for this alone but I can say it is excellent quality and it has lasted me until now and I still cannot see that it has gone down since I brought it. To apply, which I do every day, I use a bronzing brush, sweep it over the powder and then I blow it and apply it in a circular motion over my cheek bone.
