Clean & Clear Deep Cleansing Facial Wipes

I seem to have a bit of a thing for Clean and Clear products at the moment. This time I am writing about their Deep Cleansing Facial Wipes. In the past I have tried a couple of brands of facial wipes, but I find they do not clean all that well and end up using them as an extra cleanser after I have washed my face. I know that kind of defeats the purpose as they are designed to take away the hassle. I never use soap on my face and never have since I was about 6 years old and got a problem with extremely dry skin and had to use cream rather than soap to deal with the problem. Obviously I still want my skin to be clean and as such I use facial wipes instead of soap morning and night and I am not generally fussy which ones I use as long as they are a decent price (my skin only dries out with soap) A packet of these wipes holds 25 wipes and I bought them at Asda when they were half price so I picked them up for £1 a pack instead of £2, people who have read some of my previous reviews will ... more

Having oily skin I need a facial wipe that not only cleanses but fights against spots too and I think I’ve found them. Clean and clear wipes come in a purple and blue packet about A5 sized, contain 25 wipes per pack and have a sticky foil seal on top to stop them drying out. Which really works as even the very last wipe is still lovely and moist. The packet has instructions of how to use them, which is to unfold the wipe and gently wipe over face and neck avoiding the eye area. When it comes to face wipes, I don't tend to stick to a particular brand, I just go for what is cheapest. I must admit that the St Ives brand is my favourite, but given that these wipes are expensive, I don't buy them unless they're on offer. Last week, I found these wipes in Boots for £1.95 (for a packet of 25). They were on special offer and usually retail at around £3. There are obviously many more brands that are a lot cheaper, but I tend to find that the cheaper they are, the worse the quality. I saw a pack of Clean & Clear deep cleansing facial wipes and they were cheap, so I thought that I'd have them. The other similar products on the shelves next to it, were like £3.99, so this seemed like a bargain at only £1.29. The packaging- as well as the price- persuaded me to buy this product, because of it's pure blue-green background. It looked attractive to the eye and not O.T.T. with colours.
