I seem to have a bit of a thing for Clean and Clear products at the moment. This time I am writing about their Deep Cleansing Facial Wipes.

In the past I have tried a couple of brands of facial wipes, but I find they do not clean all that well and end up using them as an extra cleanser after I have washed my face. I know that kind of defeats the purpose as they are designed to take away the hassle. All you need to do is simply pull one out, wipe it across your face and hey presto - all clean.

~Packaging~
These wipes come in a handy little packet (about 14 x 9cm in width and about 3cm deep). It is a little like a tissue packet in that you open up the top and pull one wipe out. To open you lift up the label on the top of the packet. This is sticky so that when you have finished you can replace it and stop the rest of the wipes from drying out. The packet is a dark bluey purple colour fading into a turquoise green. The label has the Clean and Clear logo on it. The back of the packet features directions for use and what the product will do.

~What is it Supposed to do ?~
Facial wipes have been created to make cleaning your face easier and hassle free. These are supposed to clean deep down and get rid of any oil, dirt or impurities that you may have lurking. They will leave you with a clean, refreshed face and as it says on the packet with 'beautifulskin'. The wipes are anti-bacterial and help to prevent spots.

~Directions~
Pull out a wipe and unfold it. Wipe over your face and neck gently, being careful to avoid the eye area. Carry on this process until all dirt has been removed, and throw away into a bin (not toilet). Stick the label back down. It is recommended that you use these morning and evening.

~My Experience~
The wipes themselves are very soft and you can not really ask for anything simpler to use. They feel like baby wet wipes and they make your face feel very fresh whilst using. They leave you with a tingling feeling and are definitely refreshing. The smell is not all that nice, being quite strong and clinical. They do clean your face, the evidence being there on the wipe when you have finished. I have to admit here though that I used them on their own for two days, but could not do it any longer. I still feel that they do not fully clean your face and so would recommend them for use after a facewash. I think they would also be good as a wipe to use during the day, if you get a little hot or just for a quick refresh.

I guess I am not quite ready to leave the good old facewash and water yet. I will give these three stars, even though they do not work as well as I would have liked. As a cleanser I think they are great, removing any last traces of dirt that your facewash left behind. And if you stay away from home for a night and do not want to carry huge bottles with you then these are good too. Overall, they are not bad, but not brilliant.
