Abracadabra Dirt Be Gone!
Advantages: Clean awkward nooks and crannies simply without chemicals Disadvantages: Doesn't last long
...Doktor Power Magic Eraser by JML is an amazing product. I was very wary of all the hype in advertising and on the internet about it. Many of these products look amazingly easy and effective to use when they are shown in a television demonstration but once you get them home things very often don't go the way the demonstrator did them. I had heard of these Magic Erasers before under a different brand name, and JML is generally a name that I trust, ... ...too hard, they disintegrate. The JML variety costs £5.99 for a single sponge, so I tend to cut small pieces off it and use it sparingly. I did find a pack of two similar sponges in our local Poundland for £1 and I must admit that I didn't find much difference, only that the JML did last a bit longer. This is certainly a product I would recommend. Once you have used it you will be amazed at the difference it makes to cleaning. Those fiddly areas come ...

Removes the stains, allgedly
Advantages: easy to use Disadvantages: only works 50% of the time...
...the mud stains looked a 1001 times better! I could see exactly where the mousse had been applied as the carpet looked brighter and in much better condition. It made me want to clean the entire carpet! The carpet with the soot stains and workmen messes however didn't really have any difference and if anything was worse! As though I had managed to move the stains around. I would like to add that I did hoover the carpet well first to ensure all dust ... ...differences are down to the type of stain or the type of carpet. The carpet which didn't work is shortpile and quite thin compared to the one which worked very well. I can't really work out whether I like this product or not. It has definitely worked on one of my carpets and it was easier to use than sprays which take lots of effort to keep pumping the lever and then having to use a separate cloth to scrub into the carpet. It was however quite messy ...

Don't buy any other mop!!!!
Advantages: removable, washable pads. Can be used wet or dry. Disadvantages: The initial price may put you off
I have tried several different mops in the past, and all of them have had their faults. The worst is how wet they make the floor, which really puts me off mopping the kitchen! Also, getting them clean again after mopping is tricky. Then I bought this mop! It has a detachable pad which can be machine washed, and also can be rinsed out whilst mopping which cuts out the problem of putting more dirt from the mop back onto the floor. The pad is rectangular, ... ...the edges of the kitchen units. The handle is extendable. You can buy extra replacement pads readily, and they also do a dry dusting pad for use on wood floors (I have yet to try this out). It was the most expensive mop in the shop, but I would say it is well worth the price. Mopping my kitchen was so much quicker and easier than with any of my previous mops! ...

A short review about washing up
Advantages: OK if your dishes aren't too dirty Disadvantages: Not as good as the branded products
...mainly in a range called Daisy which I hadn’t heard of before but I decided to try the washing up liquid. I purchased the concentrated washing up liquid with antibacterial action in the 500ml size which cost me 67p. Had I chosen the standard Daisy washing up liquid in the same 500ml size it would have cost me just 57p.
The idea is that this washing up liquid will cut through grease and dirt and leave the dishes sparkling clean. I wasn’t convinced ... ...the past only to be disappointed but I thought it was worth a try for the price.
The washing up liquid is bright blue and doesn’t really smell of anything much.
To be honest I have found it adequate for my needs. I don’t use oil or fat for cooking these days so my pots don’t tend to be greasy at all so that helps. I just put a generous squirt of the liquid into a bowl and run hot water into it. I get a reasonable amount of lather but not as much ...

Roll on the next brand of toilet tissue.
Advantages: Cheap and cheerful. Just about does the job. Disadvantages: Not very absorbent. Bit rough when used.
Whilst doing my weekly shopping I came across the toiletries aisle, and with my relatively low budget, opted to peruse the cheaper wares. Normally when I buy toilet paper in particular I am not too fussy (the colour matters not as I believe it's all going to the same place anyway). I have to say that it was the stonkingly low price that first attracted me to Asda's very own Smartprice toilet rolls, at 40p for 4 rolls. A bargain you may think, but ... ...of the rolls themselves. The packaging is very basic (plain transparent wrapping with what it is briefly described in Asda's very own style of black and green writing. I won't go into details over my experience of actually using the toilet tissue, but I will say that you can certainly tell the difference between this and higher quality brands in the market. The 2-ply structure of the paper is barely sufficient to be deemed soft, and in terms of its ...
