My hubby is a technology person, so finding a digital pregnancy test seemed perfect to appeal to him. It also felt more professional to me. We bought this test for the added accuracy. It also had the added bonus of being a renowned brand.
The test can be bought in single, twin or triple packs. They work out much cheaper the more you buy. A second test is always necessary in case something goes wrong or you cannot believe your results.
Each pack comes with a digital reader and test sticks (1, 2 or 3 depending on pack purchased). It also has a leaflet with easy to follow instructions. However, as anyone doing a test, being eager to see the results you skim through the leaflet. With this test don't. It may invalidate your test.
The tests are fiddly. You have to put in the test strip, then wait for it to light up, then start flashing. You have to hold it in urine for 15 seconds. You have to follow the instructions to the letter or you may invalidate the test, and they are far too expensive to do this.
On the bright side of this, when you get your result, it actually reads "pregnant" or "not pregnant" which feels very reassuring. Having said that, when you change your test strip, you find that it is basically a standard test that shows one or two lines depending upon if you are pregnant or not, and the machine reads that. So unless you are incapable to reading your results as per other standard tests and instructions, then this is for you. Otherwise, after using it, I felt only sure the results were good as there were 2 lines on the test strip.
The other bit is that the results only last an hour. Basically you want to resee your results some time later, or perhaps even show your husband, and you cannot. It is a major drawback in my opinion.
Last but not least, you cannot buy extra test strips, so have to fork out for the whole thing again. If like me you suffered infertility problems you do begrudge spending more money than necessary on tests. If they provided seperate tests, it should reduce the cost as you do not have to buy the digital test reader again.
Over all, I do not really recommend. But seeing the words "PREGNANT" after 5 years of trying is the most amazing experience in the world. So, for that reason alone, I would buy it again.

Congratulations! i've not heard of a digital pregnancy test - i know that feeling of questioning whether the two lines are prominent enough to mean you actually are pregnant! The morning sickness gives it away though!!!!!!! - Tamara x

Advantages: A very easy and quick test, no waiting about for results (well, 1 minute!), Available in any chemist or supermarket Disadvantages: Expensive for something you can get done at the doctors for free!
