I bought this book half-way through my second year in medical school, and oh how I regretted not buying it sooner!! It has got most of the stuff that you need to know in anatomy (at least, it has most of the stuff that I need to fill in my workbook - so it does has pretty much everything in the syllabus). The text is really comprehensive, and it is not just coloured anatomy pictures and text, but it also includes important medical conditions related to certain structures. It also has lots of tables and figures which come in real handy when you need to memorise all the different blood vessels and nerve endings (especially when exams and spot test are just around the corner).
The only thing that I don't like about this book is that the index section at the back can be a bit confusing. You have to look carefully to find out what you're looking for. So, I did sometimes spend more time reading the index in order to find the related topics.
Oh, and it is heavy, but most anatomy textbook are heavy anyway. Also, it focuses only on the anatomical aspects of human body, so you will need another textbook to learn your physiology. All in all, although this book cost about £35-£40, but it's worth every penny!!
