I fell in love with this product about two years ago, when I first started using it and I haven't stopped loving it since! It's awesome and it really does work. I would totally recommend it to anyone who wants to cover up imperfections and achieve a more flawless complexion.

~What is it?~
It's a concealer by Clinique, which will camouflage your imperfections (spots, fine lines, age spots, dark under eye circles).

~What's different about it?~
Instead of coming in a pot or tube and being applied with fingers, it comes in a nifty little pen/brush applicator, which means you can blend and apply in one simple step. Clinique coined this little beauty as in airbrush, which is probably getting a little bit carried away, but non the less it's very good. There are other versions of this style of applicator springing up all over the place now - and I'm not sure who was the first company to make it, but another example is Yves Saint Laurent - Touche Eclat (which is a cult product I have yet to try!), and I've seen some other cheaper versions on the high street too.

~What does it look like?~
It's a slim pen around 12.5cm long, in the classic Clinique green, with a silver lid and silver writing. At the opposite end from the lid is a twistable piece, which is what allows the product to flow. If you remove the lid you will find a beautifully soft brush with white bristles, like the kind you'd paint a watercolour with.

~How does it work?~
It's very simple. When you first buy the product, the brush is white, clean and free from product - when you come to use it for the first time, you must twist the end of the pen until you see product in the brush bristles. Once you see the product coming out, you can start to use it.
You can use the product in a multitude of ways, on all sorts of imperfections - it's great to experiment with.

~And the verdict?~
It's fantastic, so versatile, so light and so effective! You can apply the product to an area and then blend lightly with the brush (watch the concealer melt into the skin, brightening, covering and yet becoming unnoticeable in seconds), or you can help it along with your fingers if you prefer (it really depends on your preferred style/what you're trying to achieve and finger blending is easier if you're trying to cover a larger area).
The precision of the brush makes covering spots very easy, as you can use the very end of the bristles, to lightly blend for a natural cover and it also makes working in the eye area easy, as it's just the right shape.
It's incredibly easy to blend - which also makes it gentle, as you don't need to rub or pat your skin very much to get it looking good, and once it's on you can't tell you're wearing it. The naturalness of the cover is superb and really is what sells the product for me! I have tried other concealers, especially those specifically for the eye area (such as Clinique All About Eyes) and found that they cover in such a heavy way, that the final look is unnatural to say the least, where as this airbrush concealer is natural and light - a dream to work with.
It also seems to go well under my foundation (I use a loose powdered mineral foundation and obviously it may not work well with all foundations) and a little goes a long way. I use this product on all the normal blemishes (spots, under the eyes, fine lines) and also on some no so usual ones…for example…
I have quite rosy cheeks, which I like to disguise slightly, so I use a little of this concealer on my cheeks and it really helps to give me skin a less red appearance, while still allowing my natural glow to shine through.
I will also mention that, when used for covering under-eye bags the product doesn't crease easily or gather in eye wrinkles, like some cheaper versions I have used* and doesn't take much to cover up the darker areas. I also find it improves the wear of my eye shadow if I use it before hand, as it acts a bit like a primer.
I use the Neutral Fair shade, which is one of the lightest and I've never tried a different shade as this one matches my skin so perfectly, wherever I put it. However I am aware that this product comes in a range of shades, so you will undoubtedly be able to find one that suits you - and I found the Clinique assistant very helpful (if a tad pushy - but then aren't they all - although not as pushy as the women on the Mac counter - they're scary - anyway, I digress)… and she did take the time help me find the right colour to match my complexion.

*Bourjois make a very similar copycat one, which is cheap, but definitely isn't as nice and creases easily.

~Value for money?~
I know that at £15 this product will not be considered cheap by a lot of people, however, having used it for quite some time now, I have found it to last a long time, as a little goes a long way. I have read other reviews here, which say that it runs out quickly, so perhaps I don't use quite as much as some people. I am not deliberately sparing with it and I use as much as I feel that I need on any given day. I think they only way to discover if it will be good value for you personally is to try it. But I've generally found that a pen will last around 4-5 months for me, which is plenty long enough for me to feel it's good value.
It is a little annoying that there is no way to see how much is left, because the unit is sealed and perhaps if it had a window on the side of the tube then you'd be able to tell when you were running out, but I guess that would spoil Clinique's packaging design.

~Would I buy this product again?~
Yes, yes, yes!!!

I believe Touche Eclat was the first and after YSL's patent ran out a load of copycats hit the market. I've tried a few versions that aren't so good but not Clinique so may have to test this one. :)

Good review. I have the YSL one but don't really know how to use it properly as it just seems to disappear on my skin! C x
