I would never in a million years spend this kind of money on an eye cream, especially not at my tender age! However my lovely sister bought me a huge box of Clinique skin care products, most of which were small size, but this was a full size pot. I say full sized, this tub contains 15mls which at the moment is the only size they do. This is the same size as a lip balm tub but astonishingly enough this pot costs £20! Their website converts this into how much it costs per 100mls which would be £133.33! WOW!
The Pot.
The pot is adorable, a clear tub with a silver lid, the cream itself is pale pink. The writing on the
front looks very classy. In silver and white it simply says 'Clinique all about eyes reduces puffs, circles' This does annoy me since I think the product name should have capital letters and there should be an 'and' instead of a comma between puffs and circles. For some reason this just gets on my nerves! the back says it is Allergy tested, 100% fragrance free and opthalmologist tested. It claims to diminish the look of circles, shadows, lines and puffs. The pot is the perfect ornament in any Boudouir.
Application.
Clinique recommends a three step system. Cleansing, Clarifying and Moisturising. On top of this they sell numerous products to work along side to combat problem areas. They advise you to use all about eyes after applying their dramatically different moisturiser. Which I do since a pot of that came in my box too! You apply this sparingly with your ring finger. A tiny amount goes miles! You literally need to touch the cream with a finger to get enough out. The cream is quite thick and a little greasy but doesn't smell of much which is nice, maybe a little like cream (as in double cream).
Does it do as it says on the tin/ website?
It claims to;
Reduce puffiness - this is the best part of this cream by far, I had great big shopping bags under my eyes a week ago (I have just split up with my partner if you were wondering why!) and my eyes now have flat skin under them! This is a huge improvement, it took 2 days of applying this twice a day before I saw a result but I am impressed!
Minimise Dark circles - I'm not too sure on this one, my eyes really are dark and always have been so maybe I am beyond help, I still need a huge amount of concealer to make much of a difference!
Minimise fine lines! - Well i'm not braging I just don't have fine lines, only little creases where I smile but they don't look like wrinkles or anything but I can see how this would work. The cream seems to tighten your skin so I expect if your lines were noticable it would improve them.
Helps hold eye make up in place - I agree with this to a certain extent, eye shadow sticks to this wonderfully but creams just slide off, my foundation never sticks to this and it is made by clinique too so you would expect it to work well together. Mascara just ends up every where unless you give the cream a good 10 minutes to soak in.
Protects from environmental damage - Who knows? There is no SPF in this cream which is a shame because I don't like putting sun cream too near my eyes. Other than that I expect this cream helps to stop wind from drying your skin out.
Absorbs quickly - Really? I'm not one of these women that can spend half an hour a day on her skin care routine I need to slap it on and go. The best way to do this would be to do your 3 step routine then apply this and then clean your teeth and brush your hair. THEN you would be ready to do your make up. I couldn't apply this if I was in a rush! I do try to use this twice a day but its not really practical especially if you want to wear eye make up so I would recommend you use this at least every night and in the morning if you can.
I believe that this is a lovely eye cream if you can justify spending such money. The claims make this out to be a wonder cream, and it lives up to most of these claims to an extent. It is a luxurious product, still every girl needs a bit of luxury in her life!

Yikes that is quite pricey, but then again, I can't name any products that reduce eye puffiness. Sadly I have puffy eyes, being me, I work late and I'm up early for uni. £20 is just so...ouch though! I'm going to go search Avon, I know they do one. Fingers crossed its good! Great review by they way! :o) x x
