I recently decided to make an effort looking after my skin and whatnot, as I tend to be prone to blemishes after a few late nights: a few days of unhealthy food and a few days of supreme amounts of caffeine. Which, it has to be said; are frequent occurrences!
I went in search of a solution; an found myself looking at the vast amount of skin products: displayed on the shelves in 'Boots'. I was getting immensely disheartened at my inability to find something suitable, despite the sheer volume of products: until a friendly 'Clinique' sales assistant approached me! After explaining my needs, she recommended 'Clinique anti-blemish solutions'.

'Clinique anti-blemish solutions' is cleansing foam; recommended to those who have blemish prone skin. It works by removing impurities, makeup etc thus preventing blemishes. It is allergy tested, 100 % fragrance free and is none irritating - grand for those with sensitive skin.
It is sold in a small, turquoise/green pastel coloured bottle, containing 125 ml of liquid. The bottle is very plain yet classy (see pictures): sporting the silver Clinique logo and providing minimal information on the container, explaining its purpose and instructions of use.
Clinique recommend that this product be used nightly. We are instructed to use our hands: to work the foam over wet skin, avoiding eyes: and then rinse well. The product can have adverse effects, dryness or irritation (hmmm; but they said earlier it was none irritating?) - if dryness does occur, it is recommended that you reduce usage.
'Clinique anti-blemish solutions' can be bought for £13 from any chemist that is licensed to sell Clinique products (very posh!!!), most large 'Boots' stores tend to sell it.

It has a funky squirty thing on the top, which, when pressed: converts the liquid in the inside: into foam when it reaches outside. The packaging is also pleasing on the eye: with its subtle, pleasant pastel colour.
The foam itself; does actually have a fragrance, despite their claims of there being none. I would describe it as a very inoffensive, mild minty fresh smell. There is a good lather to the foam; I would say that two squirts is plenty; to generously wash your face with.
After usage: my face felt, clean, fresh and healthy. There was no dryness or irritation; merely the feeling of appropriate amount of moisture. Since the day I started to use 'Clinique anti-blemish solutions' I have been practically blemish free. As an added bonus, my skin looks decidedly healthier and happier.
I have been using this product daily for just over a month so far and I have not yet used half the bottle; therefore my prediction would be that the one bottle would last two and a half months before you need to replenish it.
I don't really have any significant bad words' to say about this product; your face can feel a little over moisturised if your over zealous with the amount you use. Also, there are no listed active ingredients on the bottle - which if you have allergies could be a little annoying.
Comparative to other products of a similar intent; this product is a little steep in price. However, its not an excessive amount to pay for a product that you can rely on. I don't begrudge Clinique my hard earned £13.
I can quite categorically say: that this product more than impresses me; and I quite happily recommend it to you all!

Review of Clinique Anti Blemish Solution Cleansing Foam
Advantages: works and skin feels clean afterwards Disadvantages: Cost
...Now in all fairness the clinique rep could’ve ripped me off big time as I was quite obviously desperate, but she asked me a few questions about my skin type and went through a couple of products I could try and what they would do. These included items from the anti blemish range which were Anti Blemish Solutions Quick Clearing Pads, Anti-Blemish Solutions Clear Blemish Gel and Anti-Blemish Solutions Cleansing Foam. I chose the foam and the gel but ... ...comes in the typical green clinique box and inside is a plastic green bottle with a clear plastic lid. It has a pump action dispenser, which is very handy to use in the shower and ensures you get the right amount. The product is allergy tested and fragrance free, however I disagree here as the bloody stuff stinks horrible but not of a perfumey type smell its more clinical than that but you know what they say “what makes you bad makes you better.” ...

Advantages: Pump dispenser means very little waste Disadvantages: Container quite bulky
...opinions, I really like the Clinique range, as all of the products I have used actually improve the look and feel of my skin. My skin is quite sensitive, and it has taken a long time to find products that don’t make it worse! This was the first Clinique product I ever purchased.
The Clinique consultant who suggested I try it advised that it might help clear up small patches of spots that I used to get around the chin area of my face. I was sure ... ...and move over to the Clinique 3-step cleansing system, which comprises of:
1. Washing the face with their specially designed cleansing soap
2. Removing remaining traces of dirt and soap with clarifying lotion
3. Moisturising with Dramatically Different Moisturising lotion.
All of the products included in the 3-step system apart from Dramatically Different come in different strengths, so there is a product to suit all skin types. I tried some ...

Advantages: Clears spots! Disadvantages: Can make skin feel tight. Expensive.
Having tried Clinique's anti-blemish gel with disapointing results I was a bit reluctant to try their 3 step system for blemished skin. But the shop assistant persuaded me to give it a go. I haven't looked back since!
The packaging is a solid affair in Clinique's usual simple style with a big C on the front. The product is dispensed through a pump on the top of the bottle.
I only need 2 or 3 squirts of the foam to cover my face, and I only use ... ...use it twice a day but at this price I can't afford that and once a day does me fine. I can't really feel it working when it's on my face, some washes I've used tingle, this doesn't. But when I've used it my face feels clean and smooth.
Initially I was horrified - my spots got worse! But having spent about £10-15 on a bottle I perservered. I'm so glad I did. My skin has never looked this good. I found this product doesn't dry my skin too much but ...

Advantages: Reduces redness, speeds up spot dissapearance, it works! Disadvantages: very expensive, may be drying to some skins
definitely goes a long way! I have used mine about 10 times since I first bought it and you can hardly tell it has been used at all!
If you have dry/combination and sensitive skin like me I would recommend this product. It hasn't dried out or irritated my skin and has done the job. I think on very dry skin it may be too harsh-one application a day I expect would work. On very oily skin, perhaps you could combine it with other products from the AntiBlemishClinique range:
Anti-BlemishSolutions Night-Time Gel, 50ml, £13.50
Anti-BlemishSolutionsCleansingFoam 125ml, £ 13
Anti-BlemishSolutionsAnti-Bacterial Facial Soap, 150g, £10
Touch-Stick, 15ml, £10
Anti-BlemishSolutions Concealing Cream, 15ml, £9.50
AntiBlemishSolutions Daytime Shield, 50ml, £13.50
AntiBlemishSolutions Back and Chest Spray, 100ml, £13
