I have trusted Clinique products for a number of years now and although I generally use their Mens Range I bought the Clinique Anti-blemish Solutions Clear Blemish Gel. This product isn't from the Mens Range but it is unisex so I am happy to use it as it isn't aimed at women specifically (not that that stops me anyway!). The 15ml of anti-blemish gel is stored in a simple tube which has a screw-top cap allowing for easy access to the gel. i prefer these types of products to be applied using cotton wool as this allows me to dispose of this afterwards to reduce the chance of spreading the chance of blemishes on other areas of my face.


The gel is of a good consistency for my use. It isn't too runny and is therefore easy to both put on my cotton wool, and this also means it will stay on a particular area of my face to have time to get to work. The gel dries reasonably quickly once applied and is intended to clear blemishes and protect you from further blemishes. Once I apply the gel I feel a cooling and soothing sensation on the sore and irritated area of skin. Immediately upon using the product I gained confidence in its effectiveness, and after just a few days of use I knew it was having a marked effect as my skin was noticably clearer.


As the gel eases the redness of blemishes the improvement in appearance can be noticeable pretty quickly, and I am more than pleased with the way this product has calmed down my blemishes. By using face washes and facial scrubs I think they have a limited effectiveness, and the Clinique anti-blemish gel has given me a longer term solution to an issue that has always been present in some form. I use the gel on problem areas for myself - my nose, chin, back and neck. I think these are the more common problem areas in general.


Pricing can vary wildly from place to place, I paid £12 through Debenhams but it can be bought for anything upto £20+ and also be found cheaper if you shop around. The fact that this anti-blemish gel is suitable for all skin types gives me confidence as I have sensitive skin. Clinique do have quite a decent track record from my experience - the Clinique anti-blemish gel is one of the better options for clearing up your problems.
