Clinique Balanced Make-Up Base

Although I am only a teeneager I am very interested in makeup and beauty and I decided I was badly in need of a foundation because I hate my skin so much. My T-Zone is completely out of control in the oil-production department and normally by the end of a day, my nose looks like a mirror because it's so shiny! However my cheeks and mouth area are normal to dry. My skintone is unbalanced. With my cheeks being fair and my T-Zone being quite dark it's hard to even it out.
I chose Clinique because I've heard so many good things about it- my mum uses it and so do loads of celebrities. As I made my way to the Clinique counter one Sunday morning in my local Debenhams I felt intimidated by the Clinique consultant serving an adult as opposed to a teenage girl. But all that dissappeared as soon as I talked to the consultant and told her I wanted a foundation to help me balance out the uneven skintone on m face and to control oily areas.
However the consultant wasn't that helpful at all as the first mistake she made was recommending me the superbalanced makeup. She should've known I wanted something more oil-controlling because that's what I told her but I just put my faith in her and bit my tongue.
Mistake no.2 she made: not applying the foundation to my neck and blending properly. But it is difficult to see what you're doing in those department store lights.
Mistake no. 3 she made: She picked me the wrong shade. Now I have to wear a foundation that makes me look ashy. She told me that it blended well and evens out the skintone but now my t-zone looks completely grey.
Those Clinique Consultants- just trying to get innocent and gullable customers to buy their products. Their expensive products.
I wasn't impressed by the price- £17.I knew it was £17 to begin with and I didn't mind paying that because I thought it would be good.
However there's hardly anything in the jar and it doesn't control oily areas. Even right after applying it I still see shine slipping through. The colour is easy to blend and spread however it doesn't last all day- the coulour fades and melts of. It doesn't really give natural coverage either- no matter how little you put on it just looks fake. I don't know if that's just because I picked the wrong shade though.Tip: Don't waste your money and if you are trying on a foundation at the Clinique counter don't let the consultant put it on for you- they'll only mess up your face.
