I received this 125 ml Post-Shave Soother in a pack of Clinique products. The pack contained a 100 ml tube of face scrub and a 125 ml squeezy bottle of M Shave Aloe Gel that I bought duty free for £17.00. That works out at about £8.50 each item and this was FREE!

The shaving cream is phenomenal as far as I am concerned and, though it may seem pricey, it is definitely worth it even at UK prices. Yesterday I had a luxurious shave using the aloe gel and finished off with ... ...it does. According to the Clinique description it also helps to make the beard hair softer and finer over time, so shaves are easier, smoother and last longer…we'll see. (Martha Longhurst...no!!)
I've also just found out whilst trawling for the best prices that by visiting any Clinique counter, not only can you seek the advice from one of their consultants for the perfect skin regime, but you can also take away a FREE sample of Face ... more

The shaving cream is phenomenal as far as I am concerned and, though it may seem pricey, it is definitely worth it even at UK prices. Yesterday I had a luxurious shave using the aloe gel and finished off with a spot of Clinique Post-Shave Soother Beard Control Formula…to give it it's full name.
I've used after-shave in the past and have always jumped, cringed, reverse-whistled (an art in itself...think about asking a builder or a plumber for the price of any job!) and sometimes let out a mighty roar or a stifled whimper depending on my pain threshold at the time.
Not so with this stuff! It is creamy, white and smooth. It also tips easily out of the small plastic bottle. You need about the diameter of a pea on each cheek, so go careful with it if you pour it into your hand, I just tipped it up onto my fingertip and massaged it into my skin. (Imagine that pink woman that wrote all those books...what's her name?...dabbing a touch of scent behind each ear. That's how much you need!) If you think of a very thin sun tan lotion or single pouring cream it's near enough the same consistency as this.
It smells a bit lemony, feels like silk, goes a long way and spreads really well. It soaks in in just a few seconds. (Well, it did on my face!) It doesn't sting… Wheeeeeeee! It is really, really soothing. I haven't got a clue what's in it I just know it works. If anything I felt better after I'd had a shave than before and it's usually the other way round. (Gloria Hunniford....no!)
On the small plastic bottle it says "comforts, eases shaving" and it does. According to the Clinique description it also helps to make the beard hair softer and finer over time, so shaves are easier, smoother and last longer…we'll see. (Martha Longhurst...no!!)
I've also just found out whilst trawling for the best prices that by visiting any Clinique counter, not only can you seek the advice from one of their consultants for the perfect skin regime, but you can also take away a FREE sample of Face Scrub if they've any left. However, I don't know if you need to fight them off trying to sell you something to get it.
Alternatively, there is advice on grooming techniques and a customised skin care routine at cliniqueformen.co.uk and you can look at all the other products you can't afford. (Carthorse?…that's it Barbara Cartland!!)
Shopping around...a 75 ml plastic bottle of Clinique Post-Shave Soother for £13.50 is available from shop-com.co.uk instead of the RRP of £16.00 and a 125ml tube of M shave aloe gel is also available for £9.50 from the same site. That is unless you're going abroad soon, in which case, look through the onboard magazine for the pack with a FREE Clinique Post-Shave Soother Beard Control Formula…as used by all us rich, jet-setting, celebrities!
Advantages: Good skin = Female Magnet Disadvantages: Price is a little off putting
I love this stuff, y missus recently splashed out on a load of Clinque stuff and im well and truely into it now, i use this every time i shave and it really soothes the skin
As stated in the other review - you really only a need a very little of it each day - the same goes for all clinque products they may seem expensive at first but for the amount you actually need they last a very long time
Again I cannot recommend these products enough, i use ... ...and this and all have lasted well over 6 months so far, and my skin has never been better, they occasionally will do a trial pack containing a small bottle of eavh of the 4 step program in shops - best way to try it out and you will see the results within days ...
