You can buy this clarifying lotion from any Clinique counter in the Cosmetics area in Department Stores (the bit that always smells lush) or in places like Boots the Chemist or online (cheapsmells.com is cheapest I have found so far)
It sells at £23.00 for 400ml (£23.00 for 487ml at the moment from the Clinique Website) or £14.00 for 200ml RRP but you can get it cheaper.

After my skin started to become oily/combination I realised good 'ol soap and water just weren't doing the job so I headed off to my nearest Clinique counter as I new it was a well-reputed brand. The Clinique Expert really was an expert and asked me all about the different areas on my face in my consultation and then she advised me what products would suit my skin type best - I really do recommend taking a few minutes to speak to one of the experts! In the 3-step skincare regime, she recommended this lotion as step 2 (this was 6 years ago). Having never used a toner or lotion like this before I had no idea what to expect.

The bottle comes as it is with the big Clinique logo on the front and information on the back such as, contact info and very clear directions for use - the ingredients are on a label on the bottom. Like all Clinique products the bottle is made of thick high-quality plastic (it is recyclable though so it's environmentally friendly) with a screw-top lid. If there was a negative point here it is that if you knocked the bottle over the lotion would just run out and you wave goodbye to your money so maybe a rubber seal with a small hole in it would be better.

Clinique call this 'The Difference Maker' and claim "It gently sweeps away dulling surface flakes to reveal clearer, smoother skin-perfectly prepped for moisture. Optimizes cell turnover. Uncovers skin's natural radiance."

Directions for use go as follows...Using cotton ball, sweep over face and throat twice daily. For external use only. Avoid eye area. The tingle tells you it's working.

This product really does deliver it's promises. The lotion itself is like water in consistency with a lilac tinge to it. I find that placing a cotton ball on the top of the bottle and turning it upside down twice gives me enough for one application. The product is cooling when it touches the skin and it does tingle slightly but it doesn't sting (it's allergy tested anf frangrance free). Once you've swept it over your face you can see how much grime is on the cotton ball!!! It leaves a cleansed feeling and prepares the skin ready for moisturising. I find that a large bottle can last me up to a year and it has a 2 year use-by date so it's very good value for money.

I find that my skin has regained balance since I began using this product - I rarely get spots and the oil production has regulated and there's no more dry patches either. My skin is smoother and looks a lot healthier and my make up holds onto my skin better now that it's less oily.

Overall I can't fault this product I've never had a bad reaction, I look forward to using it and my skin always feels clean and fresh when I've used it - put it this way if I've ever not used it I can really tell a difference in my skin!! I'd recommend this product and in fact the whole 3-step system to anyone who wants to look after their skin!!
