I was really pleased with the product and how for once I was using a product that didnt want to sting the face of you when you applied it. I have tried just about every toner on boots shelf over the years and after a few months I always give up and try another product. I have quite sensitive skin and can be prone to still breaking out in spots and it has never aggrevated my skin at all.
The lotion is said to work by using exfoliation renewing cell turnover and it gently sweeps away dulling surface flakes to reveal clearer, smoother skin-perfectly prepped for moisturising.
It is customed to fit different skin types in Mild, 1-Very Dry to Dry, 2-Dry Combination, 3-Combination Oily and 4-Oily Skin formulas. You can log into their own website and skin type online or ask at any clinique counter in boots or department store. I would recommend getting samples from them then buying the actual bigger products online where you can get them in the huge sizes for half the shop prices. I personally buy the 487ml clarifying lotion 2 and it comes with a pump dispenser where you place the cotton ball or pad on the lift up lid and it press down and it pumps just the right amount you need directly to the ball with no mess at all. Directions for use are sweeping a cotton ball over your face and neck twice a day after cleansing with clinique facial wash or clinique soap and then finishing with clinique ddml moisturiser which again is expensive but well worth the money. You use a very small amount and the largest bottle comes with a pump again and can be purchased on various places on the internet for £10 less than the shop price.
I started with a 200ml bottle and I am now half way through the larger bottle. So even though it seems expensive at first I can tell you in 2 years I spent £40 on clinique clarifying lotion and if I had stayed trying product after product I was averaging £10 a month.
The packaging is very basic with clinique and can almost look clinical the most they have is a sliver C on some of the packages but dont let that put you off it is a massively popular range and does work.
I am converted now to using the products from clinique and I am living on a low budget but its a bit like buying cheap wahsing up liquid you get what you pay for. They even do a mens range too. If the products are too expensive for you to buy yourself let you loved ones know you use it and I bet they dont mind getting you your clinique products as a birthday and christmas gift. The counters are always having special offers at christmas time and if you sign up online to their website they wil email you with special offers in store and online.
Ebay always have a good range of sellers with shops and very high feedback ratings (they do come sealed and brand new and you can always check sellers feedback) with the very tiny free with purchase items that are great to buy to try the products out and if you like them then go buy the larger product and use the mini bottles to fill up as travel size ones for your holidays.

I first started using Clinique products prior to getting married and certainly noticed a huge difference in my skin. Since then I've used it on and off and always regret not using it but with a 2 year old, I often never get around to using it! My husband now has to travel with work a bit so I tend to get my clinique requirements via duty free which is great. Cx
