*****Clinique Exfoliating Scrub*****
I don't really go in for a lot of these high class beauty regimes - I'm not a big fan of makeup, or indeed anything else that seeks to cover up a woman's true beauty. I think our beauty is more about who we are as women, than whether we have long eyelashes, perfectly curved eyebrows, and ruby red lips. A lot of women's decoration has come about as a way to attract and appease men, and whilst I'm not against feeling attractive to the opposite sex, I don't think our womanly attraction or beauty or appeal can be applied with a mascara wand or a lip brush. What I am for, is clean, smooth skin, that makes ME feel good, never mind anyone else, and which makes me feel soft and womanly all on my own. The two products I use on my face in the bathroom every morning are Clinique Foaming Face Wash, which I've already reviewed, and this, Exfoliating Scrub, which is the best damn exfoliating product I've ever used and which in my opinion is worth it's weight in gold!
The scrub is contained within a long slender tube, a little like an oversized toothpaste tube, though not as fat and wide as the face wash. The tube is that lovely fresh leaf green colour that is synonymous with Clinique products, and the total amount contained within the tube is 100ml. The tube has a flip top cap, and when you open it, there is no scent at all, unlike the face wash which smells very herbal and planty. The scrub is white in colour, and has a very fine grainy texture.
I usually use this about twice a week, sometimes more often, and always in the shower, as I don't like having grainy bits in my bath. To be fair, I probably wouldn't notice them, as they are very, very fine, but hey, that's just my little routine! The texture of the scrub feels great when you apply it to slightly damp skin - it's like really thick toothpaste, and actually has a minty sensation on your skin. This is caused by the menthol, which leaves your skin very slightly tingling with freshness.
To use, I put a ten pence sized blob in the middle of my palm, and then rub small amounts of this all over my face. I then, with the pads of my fingers, massage my face in small circles all over, though taking care near my eyes, as the skin here is thinner, and doesn't need exfoliating really.
I use this scrub before the face wash, and feel that they complement each other perfectly. After using the scrub, my skin is always smooth, with no dryness, just perfectly hydrated. I find it helps very much if I have blackheads or the odd spot, though I don't have much trouble with either as long as I use these products regularly. The finished effect of this scrub leaves your face feeling literally polished smooth, with every pore cleansed and grit or grime just washed away.
This is not a cheap product to buy, but I find that as I use it only a couple of times a week, I can make a tube of this last for months on end. I have tried other brands of exfoliater, and even sometimes make my own at home, but this one has to come up top of the high street products I've tried. It will cost you £15.00 for a tube, and it is designed apparently for oily skins. I don't have particularly oily skin, but imagine this would be perfect for anyone who does.
I usually buy my Clinique products in Boots, always waiting till they have a "buy 2 products get this lovely free stuff for free" offer on! Other department stores like John Lewis, Fenwick and Debenhams stock it too, and I don't think there is much difference in the price. If you go online to the Clinique website, you get free samples of various products when you order from there.
I really love this product - it makes my skin feel wonderful, which in turn makes me feel super confident about how it looks. I think that using this, together with the face wash, and the fact that I don't often wear makeup, keeps my skin looking much younger than my years! And that is surely worth paying £15.00 a shot for!!!!!
Advantages: Very fine grains, refreshing menthol sensation Disadvantages: Uncanny resemblance to gritty toothpaste!
I'm a major Clinique fan, so when I saw this scrub in a discount cosmetics store in the US whilst on holiday I just had to try it. I got it there for around $15, over here it is sold for £14.50 for 100ml. (If you like Clinique, definitely look out for it if you're in the US on holiday, it is much cheaper!).
I tend to use an exfoliating scrub once a week, or just before an evening out. I find it makes my foundation look more even and go a lot further, ... ...one I've tried.
The Clinique Exfoliating Scrub is sold as 'a skin-clearing, water-based scrub for oily skins'. Interestingly, it also contains menthol, which 'gives the skin a fresh, cooling sensation'.
It comes in a squeezy tube, and has the thick consistency of toothpaste. It is full of tiny grains, like fine sand, which are rounded so as not to scratch your skin. I find it a little odd that it is 'Fragrance free' - since you can smell the menthol, ...

Advantages: more quantity is needed Disadvantages: expensive!!!!!
I was very much attracted to this product by seeing the advertisements in magazines thought i will give a try.costs around £15 in debenhams.Product packaging is very attractive.I basically brought this product as i was very impressed with their other products.I think this scrub really exfoliates the skin very very strongly but is a little bit harsh on the skin(mine is combination skin) and make your skin more dry.definitely not for dry skin which ...

Advantages: Exfoliates, makes your skin feel clean, fresh and smooth Disadvantages: None
I offen use clinique for make-up rather than their cleansing products. After I was recomended the scrub by a friend, this was the first cleansing product I had brought in the clinique range. I am extremly happy with the results! Unlike most scrubs, this one is very thick and you only need a 5 pence size to do your whole face! It lasts longer than most scrubs also, so do not be afraid to spend the extra pound or two, it's worth every penny! Also unlike ...

Advantages: Clears skin, makes it softer. Disadvantages: Can make your skin dry
As an avid clinique fan, I already know the importance of exfoliation. I decided to give this product a go as i had recieved a tester after my last shopping spree.
THE TEST
I thoroughly cleansed my skin with my clinique soap.
I then rinsed my face and squeezed out a small amount of exfoliator, which had tiny round beads in it and a distinct smell of mint.
I massaged it into my skin in circular movements, making sure to avoid my eyes. I also used ... ...tells you to follow with Clinique 3-step system, I would recommend you do this straight after yr skin is dry.
RESULTS
I saw results immedietly, my skin was smooth soft and glowing!! CONS
I recommend you generously moisurise as this product can dry out your skin.
As I recieved this product as a tester, I'm not aware of how much it costs, size e.t.c. but this info is available on their website www.clinique.com. ...

Advantages: Clears up my cheek milia, exfoliates really well, diminishes wrinkles Disadvantages: Stings a bit when applied, fairly expensive for most
...days of using the lotion but at least now I know there's a solution to my problem.
I've also started using the lotion in conjunction with Cliniqueexfoliatingscrub and the combo really helps. And all this exfoliating makes me looks about 3-5 years younger :)
Here's the list of ingredients:
witch hazel, alcohol denat, water, salicylic acid, glycolic acid, copper disodium edta, d&c green no5, fd & c blue no1
If you are sensitive to any of these ingredients, I'd use it with caution. Especially the acids - glycolic and hydroxy (salicylic acid) are quite strong.
Also you shouldn't use this for milia on/around your eyes for obvious reasons....

Advantages: Gentle but effective - and refreshing too! Disadvantages: A little too harsh for very delicate skin
...After using various brands of daily facial exfoliator's, I found Clinique 7 day Scrub Cream ideal for my fairly delicate skin. In comparison to other daily exfoliators, this is not a daily exfoliating 'wash' therefore a facial wash is also needed. Only a small amount is needed to gently stroke in circular motions over the face, but keeping away from the eye area as the strong menthol stings somewhat. I find it gives me a healthy glow about my cheeks, and after only a week of using this product, combined with Clinique moisturiser products, my minor skin complaints have cleared with brilliant effects. I would recommend obtaining a sample beforehand to test, these can be obtained in most department stores. The product is suitably priced and worth every penny for the quality, although consumers who are used to buying high street products may...

Advantages: Cleans away dead skin cells to leave glowing skin Disadvantages: Pricey but well worth the money
...I stumbled across this product totally by accident, I had never really tried Clinique products before but a cosmetic consultant at my local Debenhams collared me and asked if I would like my skin analysed.
Being a person who does not like to hurt peoples feelings I agreed to do so and she promised me it would only take five minutes tops.
She mentioned that one of the best things to use on your skin is an exfoliator, so she suggested the Clinique 7 Day Scrub Cream.
From the first time I used this, I noticed that my skin was softer and looked a lot brighter.
The scrub itself was not too gritty like some face scrubs I have used in the past, and is really good for people with sensitive skin as it has not got a heavy scent and the scrub is not too harsh on the face.
You only need a small amount and it foams up really well when...
