In a happy jovial mood this morning, and while dancing around getting ready for work I happened across an old faithful of mine, Clinique Happy. I go through stages of fickleness to perfume so inevitably things get forgotten but this was definitely worth rediscovering...
**THE PACKAGING** Its pretty funky as you can see from the pic, the bright orange box it comes in is hard to miss with the distinctive Clinique logo across the middle.
The bottle itself is a fairly simple affair, which personally I prefer. Its an oval shape, easy to hold on to when applying so avoiding the dreaded perfume-in-all-the-wrong-places moment (dont ask me about that one!) and see-through so you know exactly how much there is to go before you need to flutter some eye lashes and get some more bought for you. Or in my case trudge down to the shops and spend yet more of my hard earned cash!
The bottle has the Clinique Happy logo printed at the top near the lid so if, like me, you chuck out the boxes you will still have a vague idea what you might be smelling of! The silver lid clicks on and off in a very satisfying manner, and fits well enough to avoid a nasty accident in transit...
**THE FRAGRANCE** Enough of the packaging.. I think you get the idea and you can always look at the pics provided!
On to the important part... how does it smell? Now I avoid the strong smelling heavy floral fragrances like the plague, it just doesnt suit me, so this isnt one of those. It is a very light smell, a cross between citrus and floral. The people at clinique say its 'A chic, modern, multi-layered sparkling floral.' It includes Ruby Red Grapefruit, Boysenberry Bush Flower, and Hawaiian Wedding Flower and smells delicious. It reminds me of summer, it's light and floral but not too girlie. It doesnt get up your nose - most perfume makes me sneeze- and is great for everyday wear.
My only criticism is that it doesn't last all that long.. or maybe I don't use enough... but I do find that it needs to be reapplied at regular intervals to keep that gorgeous smell.
**HOW MUCH??** It comes in two sizes, 50ml and 100ml. The 50ml costs £29.50 and the 100ml is £42.50. Personally I think this is pretty good value for a decent perfume, I have the 50ml and its lasted for ages (not just because I left it in the drawer!) and I will be buying it again.
**THE VERDICT** Brilliant everyday fragrance, not overpowering and worth the money. If you want any more info check out the website at www.clinique.co.uk Well recommended.
i quite like the male version of this, as i guess my preferred fragrance is 'fruity' rather than anything else. CK Contradiction and Ralph Lauren Romance are my weapons of choice though. cheers, Paul

I haven't tried Clinque perfume but I do use their moisturisers etc. Excellent products.
Clinique introduced Happy in 1997. It is the result of the following top fragrance Notes: more
bergamot, boysenberry and honeysuckle. The middle notes are: bushflower, grapefruit and moss and the base of the fragrance is: freesia, lemon and Hawaiian wedding flower. Happy is recommended for romantic use.
Advantages: Light, fresh fragrance suitable for everyday use, reasonably long-lasting Disadvantages: I find I need to use a few squirts therefore using it up quickly
