Rinse-Off Eye Makeup Solvent
I used this last year when I was on holiday. It made removing waterproof mascara really easy. It didn’t make eye eyes water or sting when taking off mascara. It did smudge my mascara at first but after holding the cotton ball against my lashes for a few seconds, all of the mascara came off quickly. It removes eye shadow and eyeliner easily just by gently moving the cotton wool over my eyelids.
It’s also really good for removing long lasting lipstick (like Max Factor LipFinity), as long as you don’t lick your lips before washing the remover off! It doesn’t taste too good. The small bottle makes it easy to dispense onto cotton wool. Just by putting the cotton wool over the bottle and tipping it back. The liquid is runny like water and is clear. It’s gentle and doesn’t sting or burn you skin when you use it.
Packaging The product is in a round plastic bottle. The bottle is clear with a blue tint to the bottle. The cap is a green that is used throughout the Clinique range. The writing on the bottle is white. The front of the bottle has a large ‘C’ above ‘CLINIQUE’ which has lines above and below the word. ‘rinse-off’ is written below this, with ‘eye makeup solvent’ on the next line down. Below this is two lines of French. The back of the bottle has the writing ‘Allergy Tested. 100% Fragrance Free’. On the first two lines in bold. Below this is a description and directions for use. ‘Quick removal or quick change for eye makeup. Apply on cotton ball over eye area, tissue off. Rinse with cool water. Leaves no oily residue.’ Below this is a line separating the writing. Below this line is seven lines of French before another line. Below this second line is the address. ‘Clinique Laboratories, Dist. New York, N.Y. 10022 N.Y. ~ London ~ Paris’ with London underlined. ‘Made in U.S.A. 1FL.OZ. /30mle’.
Each of the Clinique products comes in a box with a little leaflet explaining all about the product. ‘A fast dissolver of all eye colour, eyebrows to eyelashes. Oil-free, blur-free and sting-free. Dampen 100% cotton ball well or use a cotton swab for spot work. Sweep over eye makeup. Rinse or tissue off. Replenish thirsty eye-area skin with refreshing, oil-free Moisture Surge Eye Gel. It cost £11.50 for 125ml, and thats the only drawbacks that I can think of.
