I am a beauty therapist and have been using the Fake Bake selftanning lotion for a while now. I use Fake Bake selftanning lotion where I work and on my self aswell. I have tried loads and loads of other selftanning products before like st tropez soltan etc but nothing compares to the Fake Bake selftanning lotion, i absolutely love it! It has a golden brown guide colour so you can see where you are putting it, it is very easy to blend due to the consistency of the product and is a lovely golden colour. The only downside to this product is after a while it starts to smell abit but once you wash it off the smell is gone. I would definately recommend this selftan to everyone. ...

opinion the best way to use it:
? Exfoliate really well, I use a body brush to really scrub myself
? Moisturise all dry areas, such as the knees, feet, elbows etc. I have found that putting a little moisturiser on my face made the tan look more natural.
? Put on rubber gloves
? Pump loads of the tanning lotion into your hands and apply it in circular motions, Now the trick to using this right is to not be afraid of it, I?ve found the harder you try to put it on evenly the worse it will look when you wash it off. It?s really intimidating because it?s a thick brown paste that makes you look like you have rolled in mud.
? I find it dries really quickly so start at you feet and work your way up. You should literally look brown and smeary.
? Once you have applied it everywhere just have a good look all over and make sure you haven?t missed ...

I am always a bit sceptical about self-tanning products. I have tried about three of them so far and always ended up with very uneven strange orangey or dark brown colour. On one occasion it was sooo bad that I couldn’t wear a skirt for a week because whatever I tried I just couldn’t wash it off!!!
I have decided to give this product a chance after seeing it in every fashion magazine on the market.
First of all I have to say it is expensive!! I paid £29.95 for my 240ml instant self-tanning mouse at Harrods. I think the actual sun tanning lotion is a bit cheaper. The main difference between the mousse and the lotion is the time it takes to dry and the colour of the product. The mousse is much easier to use!
