I am a regular customer of Clinique, and I am, majority of the time, very satsfied with the results. My skin is dry on my cheeks and jawline, but i am prone to spots on my forehead, around my nose and on my chin. I'm a teenager so this is not uncommon.
MY EXPERIENCE When i first bought foundation from clinique, (gentle light make up) i found it was not enough coverage, and quite shiny on my face. Allthough it had been the best foundation i'd used until now. After that i was forced to use a different one as this had been discontinued. I used 'clinique superfit make-up', which was far too matte and dry for my skin. It was very patchy, and the woman who supplied me with it (looking orange herself) gave me a shade that was far too dark on my skin. My friend who told me i should get foundation in the first place from clinique, recommended 'soft finish foundation'. I thought i would try this, as her skin always looks amazing. I didn't ask for help this time, and found i made the right choice myself in the shade, (01 soft bisque) As i got home, i was eager to try the make-up. I already own a foundation brush, and this always is a better way of putting make-up on than with your fingers, in my opinion.
THE PACKAGING The packaging is of a floral design, very clear and simple. The trademark 'c' is silver on the front, and has the words 'clinique' underneath. It's a 30ml bottle. On one side is the ingredients, on the back is the words 'allergy tested. 100% fragnance free.' Inside the box is the bottle. Made of a thick glass, with a round silver top and square bottle. The foundation colour can be seen through the transparent glass.
IT CLAIMS... 'Moderate cover. Natural finish. Moisture-giving, line softening, make-up for dry skin. Imparts a silky, natural look...flawless in all lights.'
DOES IT LIVE UP TO THE CLAIM? Yes. It very much does. It feels so soft, and when it's on your skin, you don't feel caked in make-up. It still let's you feel like you can 'breathe'. When i first put it on, it felt so light and a little goes a long way. I only need to use a tiny amount a day. It looks very natural, i don't want to look like i have make up on, and i look like i just have great skin. It covers all my red marks from spots without concealer. It does give moisture, and it is pretty much flawless.
OVERALL It gives amazing results, it's moisture giving, and i've never been so happy with a foundation. I recommend it to anyone with dry or combination skin! I also recommend a powder to be lightly covered over it to give you a bit more colour if your fair like me, but the foundation on it's own is just fine.
