I have used Clinique's Stay-True Makeup for the past ten years.
I have tested department store brands such as Lancome, Estee Lauder, Elizabeth Arden and countless discount store brands like Loreal, Cover Girl, Revlon, but I keep coming back to this foundation.
Coverage!
Stay-True's foundation has the best coverage to any I mentioned. You control the amount of coverage-from light to heavy depending on your need, It applies easily and evenly.
Since it is a liquid foundation you have control over amount you use, more in some places, less in others. Clinique's foundation is creamy and blends with ease no matter how much you use.
My skin tone, although I have a medium to dark complexion, it is very blotchy. I have red splotches here and white splotches there.
Stay-True will give you long lasting coverage through out the day, with no touch ups. You can use your fingers, a sponge, or a brush which you will have to purchase separately, for application.
Unfortunately, the more you use, the more likely you will get a heavy set-you look like you are wearing foundation, which I do not like. I try to keep it as natural as possible in the areas that need less coverage, and heavier where I need more.
Blending is a Must! And is very uncomplicated. Just a few fine strokes of your fingers, brush, or sponge will soften and blend very well.
It is not necessary to use a lot of this product to get complete coverage. It hides the biggest flaws and blunders. Most days I do not even need concealer.
Since it is an oil-free product, it will not clog pores like other brands of makeup.
It is alcohol free.
This makeup is an excellent choice for oily or combination skin types. I have not had a breakout due to this foundation clogging my pores.
As of now, they no longer give specifics on ingredients. If in doubt about possible irritation ask your local counter for a run down on what this product contains.
Removal:
It is easily removed with soap and water or your favorite cleanser. It isn't necessary to buy a makeup remover for this foundation.
Packaging & Colors:
Their Stay-True formula comes in a one ounce bottle, and generally lasts me several months. Expect to pay 16.50 USD/ 9.20 GBP in department stores. It will be the best $ you will ever spend.
The bottle is small, compact and a little pudgy. The lid is a silver twist off cap.
A one ounce bottle lasts me on average (without purchasing additional colors due to skin tone changes in the winter & summer) a year. For the price this is an excellent buy.
Stay-True comes in 10 different shades to match almost any skin tone. I use three different shades throughout the year.
Try:
*Stay Beige (A light-medium hue for complexions that aren't light but aren't dark) My color
*Stay Golden (A nice golden hue for medium to dark skin tones)
*Stay Ivory (The lightest hue you will find here)
*Stay Light (bronze w/yellow hues for darker complexions)
*Stay Porcelain (medium rosy hues)
*Stay Sunny (darker golden hues)
*True Bronze (dark reddish hues)
*True Spice (very dark hue)
If you have very dark complexioned skin, Clinque offers other lines of foundation that will match your skin tone. Its a matter of trial and error, which I suggest you use your sales person to help you find the correct shade.

This is highly important to me, my skin lightens very quickly in the winter and darkens very fast in the summer. I definitely need help in matching the color of my foundation to my skin tone, depending on season. I have not once had to return this makeup after getting it home and applying it. This type of service you cannot get in discount stores.

After trying so many new products on the market that claim to be better or the newest innovations in foundations, I have found that Clinique's Stay-True Makeup is the one for me, and will always be.
I plan on "Staying True" forever.
TIP: If you need maximum coverage, such as a blemish arises, try placing your foundation in the fridge for a few minutes. It makes the makeup thicken and you can conceal with ease.

...complexion, and I'm thankful that Clinique offers a full range to sort it out. After applying this foundation, it instantly sorts out my oily areas. Not only do I use the foundation, but I also use the Dramatically Different Moisurising GEL Oil-Free Formula, which is incredible. Once you start using it, you'll never want to try anything else. Advantages: Good coverage, good quality and stays put Disadvantages: not suitable for dry skins and those who want a light coverage
...price range as it is Clinique but you get what you pay for. It's not moisturising enough for drier skin types and too heavy for those who are looking for a light coverage. It's fab though for problem skin types as the oil free formulation means that it won't aggrevate blemishes while the coverage will help to hide what you don't want to be seen.
