I started using Clinique Stop Signs Hand Repair after receiving it as part of a gift last Christmas.
Have to say I was a bit dubious at first as these things rarely do what they claim, but as I got it as a gift I thought what the hell why not give it a go then!
***PACKAGING***
It came in a rather posh looking Clinique signature coloured green box with the silver Clinique logo in large bold print with the text Stop Signs Hand Repair below. Other information including manufacturing details, ingredients and instructions in several languages surround the sides and the back of the box.
Upon opening box you will find a full information leaflet in many different languages containing the full benefits of using this product. The hand cream itself comes in a 75ml/2.5fl.oz recyclable tube which happens to look like any other squeezable hand cream except again it’s in Clinique’s signature green colour with logo again, coming with a flip top lid.
***THE PRODUCT***
Thick milky pink cream is 100% fragrance free, so there is no smell whatsoever, but it is extremely thick in consistency on your hands adding to the rich luxurious feel to aid your poor old dry ageing skin, particularly during these cold winter mornings.
I do suffer from dry hands so do tend to use quite a generous amount when squeezing, although to get it right for each individual I would recommend squeezing a little to see how much you will need, it’s easier to add a little more but not so easy to put back in tube if you have squeezed too much out and at £13 a throw it’s far too expensive to waste a single spot.
***THE PROMISE***
Clinique say with regular use morning and before bed, this treatment uses advanced technology to help stop the signs of ageing by visibly decreasing the look of lines and wrinkles with collagen-boosting ingredients whilst skin discolorations appear less noticeable with the help of the select botanical extracts helping to protect from future visible damage caused by the environment. They say all this is possible with a complex variety of vitamins and other antioxidants
In real terms what they claim is using this will stop the visible signs of hand ageing and help fade the appearance of age spots and minimise hand crepiness, all this whilst moisturising your dry hands, impressive eh?
It’s allergy tested and at a guess I would say probably on animals as it does not say otherwise. Normally with Clinique there are usually different products for varying skin types but this product is formulated for all skin types, so anyone can use and because it’s fragrance free I would say that all you men could use this also, obviously some of you males out there would never dream of using hand cream but Clinique have been very quick to pick up on the growing demand amongst men for toiletries now, even Craig uses Clinique products, although not the hand cream.
***INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE***
Apply before bedtime and in the morning to your hands and exposed skin on the chest following washing of hands and of course it’s a good idea to make sure the area is dried properly first of all, otherwise you are wasting your time.
***THE REALITY***
I started using first of all each morning and gradually phased in using before bedtime, the rich cream is not greasy like some, just gliding over your skin to absorb very easily indeed leaving you with nice soft silky feeling hands and I am pleased to say that within around 2 weeks of using I did notice a big difference to my skin on my hands and chest area, fines lines seemed to have gradually disappeared, also my skin does seem clearer, not that I had particularly noticed any marks before but for some reason I did get the impression that there were some there.
I now use this all the time, but on the odd morning I have left the house without applying and I have noticed the difference for example very quickly I feel my hands becoming dry and tight again, especially after washing them.
I know it’s expensive but Boots very often have offers on Clinique products, maybe extra points or free products and it does last very well, as I said I starting using this just after last Christmas and in May I found myself purchasing more. I would definitely not be without this now, it has been a real find for me as most of you know how I like to feel nice by now lol!
