The best thing to do first is to buy the product as a whole, ie the makeup, sponge and the compact holder. Once you have the holder then you can just buy the refills which come as the makeup and a new sponge. Fit these into your holder and away you go. First time of using is a bit tricky as the sponge needs to soak up some of the makeup so you may find that its a bit patchy, however the 2nd time round the makeup just glides on.
