Wish Clinique did the job I ask.
Advantages: Very light so blends into face. Disadvantages: Made my face look hard and craggy, after a few hours.

Being new to this site, I didn't do enough research, and put this review in the wrong place. So many kind people let me know, and I immediately e-mailed ciao to see if it can be moved. If they are able to do it, I will let all the people who asked, know.
Thanks Susie.
Well it was that time of year when the parties start rolling in. Normally I dress casual, that's living in Florida, and use very little makeup. However, last year when we went to friends for 'Thanksgiving', and at a Christmas party, I decided to dress up, and spend more time on my make up.
I always wear eye shadow, eye liner, and mascara, because I have small eyes. Very thin lips so rarely use lipstick. So I thought I would try face makeup. I have a bottle of Clinique Superbalanced makeup. This is a square bottle that looks very elegant. It has a silver screw top.

Okay, so I gave it a try. Living in the 'sunshine state', my chin, cheeks, and the area between my eyebrows look a darker shade, than the rest of my face and neck. What I needed was the colour to cover these up, and hopefully I would have a perfect looking complexion. Well, a girl can hope.
So what happened. I used the colour #03, which is Ivory. It matched my skin color pretty well. I was very careful to make sure I covered the whole of my face and neck. It smoothed into my skin really easily. It wasn't oily and my skin felt good. The coverage was light, but okay.
However, about 15 minutes later I sneezed. Blew my nose on a Kleenex tissue, and some of the makeup came off. I immediately checked my appearance in the mirror, and I had this different texture and colour on my nose. Blast it, I reapplied it to this area, and figured I would have to take the bottle with me, just in case.
Well, on that first occasion my husband didn't even notice that I was wearing face makeup. Today I applied it again to my face. We went out for 3 hours and I was really interested to see how my face looked, when we got home.
Well, I hate to say this, but my face is showing deeper lines than normal. Especially around my mouth, and the eyes. My skin is also feeling a little on the tight side. I think I am ready to remove it right now. My crow's feet are really showing!
Will I use it again?
Yes, if I am going out immediately and for a short period of time.
Would I buy it?
This was a gift from a friend of mine. I personally wouldn't spend $17.50 (£11.30)on this product. I don't know if it would perform better, if it was accompanied by a face powder. I do understand that it costs even more in the U.K. My daughter always waits for me to bring her cosmetics over.

If you have young beautiful skin, I am sure this product will work great for you. However, if you are like me, you may wish to go natural. If this had not been a gift to me, I would be very unhappy with the product.
Thank you for taking the time to read my review.

Advantages: good range of shades, easily blends in, flawless complexion Disadvantages: expensive
...day took me to the Clinique counter in Frasers, wondering what the hell the difference is between all the different foundations.
The lady was really nice (are they on commission?) and explained everything to me. She suggested the Superbalanced makeup, and wouldn’t let me buy anything until she’d tested the colour on my face. I found this very helpful as I know I’m wearing the right shade for my skin tone. The staff at any Clinique counter I’ve been ... ...the front is the classy Clinique logo and the product name. On the back is some useful information, it says that it is allergy tested, 100% fragrance free, and is also oil-free. It is a 30ml bottle.
You’ll find that the bottle is filled right up to the top with foundation, which is good! The actual product itself is (surprisingly) a light brown/skin colour, but this will obviously vary depending on the shade you’ve chosen. It pours out onto my hand ...

...I will be reviewing: " Clinique Superbalanced Foundation"
- Price -
I paid £ 18.50 for 30ml of this product I personally think this is a very reasonable price for such a good quality product, I usually pay up to £29 for any make-up product and this is well under my budget which is surprising seen as this product delivers great results and I would defiantly say it's one of the best foundations I've used and one of the cheapest.
The reason I bought ... ...eighteen shades available of the Clinique Super balanced foundation, the fact the product has a large selection of shades makes this product almost perfect for any skin color and your more than likely to find the perfect shade for your skin color.

Advantages: Does not interfere with natural moisture balance, good coverage, glowing skin Disadvantages: Hard to match colour, may require setting with powder
...was instantly identifiable as a Clinique product. It was well packaged and easy to carry home safely. The bottle itself is glass and is fairly thick which suggests to me that the bottle is likely to withstand a lot of wear and tear. Is has a simple silver screw top lid which looks nice.

I have mainly dry ... ...that some foundations can make me feel oily around the nose and T-zone area, whilst being dry and flaky in others. I have to say that this foundation was the answer to my problems!
It glides on well and provides a good level of coverage. The dry areas of my skin felt moisturised, whilst the oily parts felt fine too. My only minor criticism is that it can come off onto clothes a little too easily for my liking, but this is easily solved by adding ...

Advantages: Matches my skin tone well and blends perfectly. Disadvantages: Is rather pricey.
I've tried out alot of different types of foundations because I have terrible skin. I am blemish prone and it goes through it's spells of being too oily or too dry. I can also never find a nice shade for my skin, I am rather pale, and I've found that sometimes the lightest shade in a make up range is basically white, and the next shade down is too dark! I wanted to try out the superbalanced make up for a while. I was buying some of the Clarifying ... ...bonus time, so I had to buy something else for the gift. I asked the sales advisor about this type of make up and she found a good shade for me, Alabastor and it blends in very nicely. This foundation is lovely and silky and is good at covering up any marks. I apply it using a sponge but it blends in just as nicely using your fingers.
I find it lasts all day long and doesn't wear off after a few hours. It hasn't dried my skin out or made it more ...

Advantages: Good range of colours, even coverage Disadvantages: Doesn't stand up to extreme heat very well, variation in viscosity of product, bottle has no pump
I've been using Clinique superbalanced in Alabaster for about a year and have found it to be a pretty good foundation. It covers up imperfections and provides medium coverage. It is quite expensive, but I find I'm really paying for a foundation which is pale and doesnt leave me looking ill. Its not too yellow based and with a bit of bronzer or blusher, I can almost pass as someone who has a pulse!!

Generally, Clinique is more suited to younger skin and Estee to the more mature market, although recently there has been a lot of blurring of these boundaries and I find stuff in Estee Lauder that I'd have originally looked for in Clinique.
One thing I have noticed is that you can't be sure how 'thick' the foundation is going to be. Sometimes I get a foundation which will freely run out of the bottle into the palm of my ...

Advantages: Gives a natural look Disadvantages: You dont get a lot of make-up
I bought this CliniqueSuperbalanced compact make-up for about £17 for 10g from Boots about a year ago.
I
It's a must have for combination skin; it knows exactly where to hydrate and control oil.
It's an oil free product with 13 different shades, I recommend golden for medium to dark skin (I have pale skin but when I get a spray tan I use this colour)
The good thing about this foundaiton is you can buy refills so you dont have to keep buying the whole compact again and again refills cost £14 for 10g saving around £3 if you buy another compact.
The coverage is moderate; I don't like full coverage foundations as they look really unnatural, where as this compact makes your skin look very natural but flawless at the same time.
How to apply the product
Use the sponge given to you in the compact or any other sponges and smooth it ...
Advantages: covers blemishes, easy to apply, controls shine Disadvantages: cost
The best thing to do first is to buy the product as a whole, ie the makeup, sponge and the compact holder. Once you have the holder then you can just buy the refills which come as the makeup and a new sponge. Fit these into your holder and away you go.
First time of using is a bit tricky as the sponge needs to soak up some of the makeup so you may find that its a bit patchy, however the 2nd time round the makeup just glides on. It always gives you a nice even and flawless covering.
This makeup just seems to compliment my skin, I suffer from slight T-zone oiliness and psoriasis so have both shiney and dry patches on my face. This makeup controls the oily areas and moisturises the dry patches. It covers up any redness that I have, so much so, that i don't need to use any additional concealer.
I do feel it is expensive but its ...
Advantages: Moisturising, wide range of colours, lightweight Disadvantages: May be a bit pricey for some
heaven-sent wonderslap costs a whopping £23.00! But, before you judge it too harshly, I think it is a very worthwhile investment. At the risk of sounding as though I?m being mean to Clinique (I?m not by the way ? it?s just another pricey brand and is helpful for the comparison), their 30ml superbalancedmake-up cost me £17.50 which is £5.83 per 10 ml compared to MAC?s £1.92 per 10ml and lasts no time at all in comparison. Don?t get me wrong, it?s still a nice product, but I feel that this is far more effective and natural looking as well as moisturising where I?ve found Cliniquemake-up to be a little bit drying.
WHAT DO I THINK?
Well, I think I can safely say that I will remain loyal to this brand now I?ve finally found something which actually works. Sometimes it?s worth paying a bit extra, but everyone has different skin and it ...
