Clinique bill this as "skin's most complete defense against the visible signs of aging in a daily moisturiser" and claim that it "fights the effects of emotional stress, which can damage skin with effects much like sun and pollution. Helps neutralize UVA and UVB." I do like my moisturisers to contain a high SPF and at SPF 25 this was the main attraction of this moisturiser for me.
...used as part of the Clinique 3 step routine or on its own. It does provide a good base for make-up and does seem to stop my make-up being absorbed into the skin. There is a very slight scent to the product slightly camomile ish and ever so slightly clinical - like all Clinique products there are no artificial fragrances added.

I often find that the winter tends to play havoc with my complexion, leaving it very dry and irritated. At the start of this year I was finding that my regular moisturiser wasn't working as well anymore and I realised I needed something a bit stronger. I did some research online into super strength moisturisers and this was one that seemed to come highly recommended.

It comes in 3 different varieties - Very Dry to Dry, Dry Combination, and Combination Oily to Oily skin types. Due to the dryness I was having, I went for the Dry Combination option.
The product comes in a swish looking circular green glass pot, with green metallic screw on lid - so far so good. It does look very classy and feels nice and heavy. It comes in 2 sizes - 30ml and 50ml - the 30ml is £24 and the 50ml is £32 - certainly not cheap, so what exactly are you getting for your money?
The consistency is really thick, very creamy and feels silky on your fingers and it smoothes onto the face and is absorbed very easily and quickly - just a minute and the cream has been completely absorbed into the skin. It should be used in the morning and evening after cleansing, and can be used as part of the Clinique 3 step routine or on its own. However, I am going to have to go against the grain here and say that I just don't see the "triple moisturising" effect that this claims to achieve - it certainly does moisturise, I'm not disputing that, but I don't see that it does a better job than the far cheaper Oil of Olay Total Effects I was using before. I've been using this now for about 7 months so have given it a good try, but I just don't see the effects to warrant shelling out on this again. Having been disappointed by Clinique's moisturisers before (Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion - made me break out in spots, so in that sense, yes, I suppose it was dramatically different!) I think I'll be off to Origins for my next moisturiser purchase...

For those of you not familiar with clinique, a lot of their products come in different formulas to suit your skin type. ...skincare regime until I found clinique products, as I can really see a marked improvement in my skin since. In my opinion this moisturiser is quite pricey, about €50 per 200ml but it does last about 3 months. I now buy it online from an English cosmetics company for roughly half the price which makes it much more affordable for me. It leaves my skin well moisturised with a healthy dewy finish and my skin feels far softer and more nourished. I have ...

Advantages: makes your skin feel lovely Disadvantages: price
...The official price on the Clinique website is £32.00 for 50ml, £24.00 for 30ml. It's produced for three skin types: for very dry skin, normal to dry skin, and normal to oily skin.
It also has a factor 25 SPF, to protect skin from the sun.
It's a very smooth, white cream which is very easily absorbed. I have very dry skin, and this makes it feel wonderfully smooth. It's not greasy. The effect lasts all day too. Although expensive, you don't need ...

Advantages: saves taking two different products away Disadvantages: quite expensive
I used this product on holiday, as sun protection during the day, and as a moisturiser at night. It worked well for both, and I certainly didn't feel as though I was compromising by not using two different products.
I did not get sunburnt, neither was my skin too dry or too greasy, often moisturisers can bring me out in spots, but this didn't.
My partner, who has sensitive skin also used it, and didn't encounter any problems. When he used normal suntan lotion for his face, it stung a lot, so this is obviously much milder and suitable for sensitive skin.
It didn't have a strong fragrance, which I found a good thing, men wouldn't want to use it if it was overly perfumed. The fact that the whole family can use it fas sun protection and moisturiser certainly helps when there's limited packing space. ...
Advantages: Protects face against weather. Disadvantages: Expensive, thick.
save loads of money. As a cream for protecting against environmental damage, it really did work for me. I would always make sure that I used it if I was riding in all weathers, especially if I was going out that night. I may start using it again soon. The cream was £27 for 50ml. I can`t see it on the Clinique website. I think when I was using it before, it was being replaced by CliniqueSuperdefense. It is still available on ebay (please don`t outbid me!) and also other websites when using the search engine. As a moisturiser it is good but not exceptional so I would not necessarily recommend as an everyday moisturiser. For someone who is out in all weathers like me, who may also be prone to red blotches, I would highly recommmend this cream. ...
Advantages: Gentle, Effective, Easy-to-Follow Disadvantages: Requires regular use for maximum effect
I'll admit I'm a product junkie and have been using Clinique makeup for about 7 years and occasionally dabbled with their other lotions and potions (I'm obsessed with SuperDefensemoisturiser, their 7day scrub is sublime and I can't/won't leave the house without All About Eyes). I have been using Dermatologica skin care products for about three years and although I never had any major complaints - breakouts kept to a minimum, non-perfumed products etc etc - I always felt my skin was still on the dry side and I've never really felt my skin 'glowed'... something I always attributed to smoking, but at 23 and fit and healthy, my skin shouldn't feel dull and lack lustre!
Whilst doing my regular re-stocking of my make up, I asked about this fabled 3step system. The consultant took me through the analysis - Type I (tres sensitive and super ...
