Amongst the various bottles, pots and tubes found on the clinique counter you can find the Superdefense Triple Action Moisturiser.
For those of you not familiar with clinique, a lot of their products come in different formulas to suit your skin type. To find your personal skin type pop over to one of the clinique counters (found in larger Boots stores, Debenhams, House of Frazer, John Lewis and many other large department stores) or go to their website (www.clinique.co.uk). Superdefense triple action mosituriser doesn't disappoint and is available in 3 formulas; very dry skin (type I), normal to dry skin (type II) and normal to
oily skin (type III/IV) which means that no matter whether you have dry skin or oily skin you can enjoy the advantages of this product.
As you open the green box that is typical of clinique you are greeted by a silver lidded jar with a base that is made up of a silver jar surrounded by a clear casing which makes the product look good when displayed on the shelf in the bathroom. The product inside is a thick cream that is easily absorbed by the skin, with little scent due to being fragrance free (but who wants a moisturiser that completes with the smell of your favourite perfume!)
Superdefense Triple Action Moisturiser works on many levels; it is deeply moisturising so leaves your skin feeling nourished without feeling greasy or over loaded with product. It covers your skin with the skin with an invisible shield that stops natural aggressors (including pollution) and stops free radicals therefore improving the skin's natural defence systems, whilst allowing the skin to breathe. Its formula works to prevent aging and with a SPF of 25 it stops the sun damage that is notorious for causing premature aging. If this wasn't enough Superdefense Triple Action Moisturiser contains anti-oxidants, whose benefits are becoming increasingly recognised.
I am skin type II so my skin type is normal to dry. I get I get some dry areas and very occasionally a few spots. So my experience with this product is the normal to dry skin formula.
I personally use Superdefence Triple Action Moisturiser only in the mornings as I use the continuous antioxidant moisturiser at night. You need a very little, I use it after clinique's 3 step skin care regime. You can use Superdefence Triple Action Moisturiser without using the dramactically different mositurising lotion but I have found as I use less of the superdefence moisturiser after moisturising with the Dramatically Different Mositurising Lotion and as I received some in a box set for christmas I have found this best for me. I have used the Superdefense Triple Action Moisturiser on its own and the results are equally as impressive. So its personal choice (and funds dependant).
By massaging this thick cream into your face, your skin is left feeling soft, cared for and loved. I have found that I need to exfoliate less often since using this moisturiser. This is one of my favourite products and would certainly be high up on my desert island wish list. Most importantly a well moisturised face helps foundation look so flawless it looks natural.
I am in my early 20's so for me this product is all about preventing my skin from unnecessary aging in the future, especially as I have fair skin! But I have noticed difference this product makes to my skin as after a day in the london smog my skin doesn't feel unloved it feels mositurised and cared for (which is something we all deserve). So I think this product is for all ages as we all need to love and protect our skin from pollutants, free radicals and the sun!
The recommended retail price in the UK for Superdefence Triple Action Moisturiser is £24 for 30ml or £32 fir 50ml. So like many premium skincare brands its not cheap, but it really does last for ages. If purchased with another product whilst Clinique Bonus Time is on, then you will receive very generous samples and often a makeup bag for free. You can check when and where bonus time is being held on clinique's website (www.clinique.co.uk). If you are interested in this product but are worried about the cost, ask at your local counter for a sample, try it for a few days and see how it works for you.
