I tend to rotate back and forth between three different types of foundation. Mostly my choice is made when one or the other has a free gift on offer with any purchase of cosmetics made by that particular company. One of my favorites is Clinique's Superfit Makeup.
I've been using Clinique for over 20 years now, and I have always been very pleased with their products. When I first started to wear foundation and had very oily skin, there water-based one was the first I ever used.
Now that my skin is a bit dryer and needs better coverage, I use their Superfit Makeup, which has been on the market for a number of years now. I have to use the "Shell" shade, as my skin is very fair.
Clinique Superfit Makeup is outstanding. It is excellent for sensitive skin, such as mine. It is hypoallergenic and 100% fragrance free, as stated on the box. My dermatologist actually suggested Clinique to me about 10 years ago.
Superfit foundations provides long-lasting, outstanding coverage. It lasts from morning until bathtime at night (approximately 9 PM). Although it sells for $19.50 for a 30-ml bottle, I find that this is a reasonable price. A little Clinique foundation goes a long way and does last throughout the day. So, by 3 PM, I don't look like I never applied any foundation. With my very fair skin, I need a little foundation in order not to appear "sickly." Also, at the end of the day, it is removed quite easily with cold cream and facial soap. It blends easily and quickly into the skin, providing a natural look that is not at all pancake-like.
Clinique products can be purchased in most fine department stores or on their website: www.clinique.com. I prefer to buy from the department stores because you don't have to pay shipping and handling charges and department stores often offer free gifts with loads of useful products which are not available on the website.
I won't bore you with the long list of ingredients listed on the back of the box. As I mentioned earlier, the important thing to me is that it is considered a hypoallergenic product.
Clinique Superfit Makeup comes in the familiarly pretty Clinique box, which has a pale peach background with flowers on it. There is a large silver "C" on the front of the box with the Clinique logo just beneath. Some of the larger boxes, such as the one for loose facial powder make pretty gift boxes at Christmas for small gifts, such as earrings or bracelets.
I have been a Clinique fan for many years and will likely remain one for years to come. This makeup has not failed me yet. It never causes breakouts and offers excellent coverage. It also hides those tiny skin flaws quite well. The gifts offered with purchases contain lovely lipsticks, nail polishes, moisturizing lotions, and/or bath and hair products - often presented in lovely cases that are fabulous for travel use. It seems that you get back what you've spent in the free gift. Now, to me, that is a bargain!

Finding the perfect foundation is so difficult - I'm really annoyed because I can't get my current one any more, and I'm just about finished the bottle!

I do love their Aromatics perfume, but I haven't yet tried their make up. Susan (Gorgeous picture by the way!)
