I recently returned from a trip to Paris, and feeling glum about not coming back with anything, I decided to splurge on some goodies on the way back. So I chose ‘All about lips’ by Clinique, as I’d heard its good rep, and I was after a lip treatment anyway.
‘All about lips’ claimed to ‘deflake’ my lips, instantly make them look better, and minimise fine lines about the delicate lip area.
When I first opened the box I was a little confused, as I was presented with a small pump-action bottle, when I was expecting the product to be in a ‘stick’ form, like your average lip balm. Although the leaflet inside the box didn’t explain how to apply the treatment, I soon discovered that only a tiny amount is needed for each application. At first it felt like rubbing moisturiser over my lips, but it was quickly absorbed, leaving my lips feeling fuller, firmer and much more moisturised. It also eased the application of lipstick, and made colour last a considerable amount of time longer. The long-term effects are brilliant too, after only a few days of application (I apply every morning and some nights) I can defiantly see vast improvements. My lips never get dry or sore anymore, and my lipstick lasts longer and doesn’t feather.
The only real disadvantage to the product is the price; I paid £12.99 for 12ml. But in the long run, it is value for money as a tiny amount goes a long way.
I would recommend this product to you if you’d like to give your lips the V.I.P treatment, but if you are still unsure, pop along to your nearest Clinique counter as they’re usually very obliging with advice and you might wangle yourself a free sample!
