If you read fashion and beauty magazines you can not possibly escape CLINIQUE. Neither could I. I started to use the products about half a year ago after a friends recomendation and have been devoted since.
WHAT IS CLINIQUE
Clinique is a cosmetic company specialising in face, make-up, body and hair products. The range is very wide with products for both man and women, for dry as well as problematic skins. Company's main logo is "Alergy tested". All products are tested on a large group of volunteers and only if all are happy the products can enter the market. Many products contain extracts from herbs and plants.
HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT PRODUCT FOR YOUR SKIN
As I have mentioned before the product range is wide but it is easy to choose the right one. You can either visit Clinique's web page on www.clinique.co.uk. After registering you can take a simple test and every time you vistit the site a star will appear near all suitable products. Electronic tests may not be 100% accurate - for example they do not distinguish between young and mature skin. The best way to find what suits you is to book an appointment at one of your local Clinque's counters. The staff is always happy to help you. They will do the test for you and demonstrate suitable products as well. If they have samples in stock you can take them home and try.
THREE STEPS
Clinique's basic skin care is called Three steps. It consists of a face soap, toner and moisturiser. Soap and toner are different for each type of skin but moisturiser is same.
OTHER PRODUCTS
You can choose from specialised creams, masks, scrubs and various make-up products. I started with three steps and up to date converted most of my bathroom into Clinique store.
PRODUCTS I USE
I am skin type 2. In the morning I start with three steps for type 2, after Moisturiser I apply Advanced Sighns Serum (suitable for younger skins). If it looks like a blemish will appear I dab it with Anti-blemish Solution.
If I am wearing make-up then for a day one I use Almost Make-up in Light, Quick Corrector on blemishes and under eyes and Long Pretty Lashes Mascara. For an evening one I use Dewy Smooth Make-up in Just Neutral, Corrector, Pressed Powder and Blusher in Mocha Pink. For the eyes I use High Impact Eye Shadow duo in Two To Tango, Mascara and Different Lipstick in Tender Heart.
In the evening I first remove eye make-up with Rinse-off Solvent, wash off face make-up with Foaming Cleanser, exfoliate with Gentle Exfoliator, once or twice a week have a Deep Cleansing Emergency Mask, follow with Three Steps and Advanced Stop Signs Cream and occassionally All About Eyes cream.
PRICES
Everything has drawbacks and so does Clinique. It is expensive.
PROMOTIONS
Now you are thinking "Oh my God, she must be so rich to afford all that." But I am not. I try to make the most of Cliniques promotions. My favorite is called BONUS TIME when with every purchase of two or more products each customer gets a gift set. Almost all my make-up products and many more come from these sets. Each set is worth at least £35 (I say, not Clinique) so that is some saving. Other promotions include COLOUR CAFFEE, ALL ABOUT MAKE-UP. You can find out about your nearest one at www.clinique.co.uk or at your local counter.
WHO WOULD I RECOMEND CLINIQUE TO
Clinique is suitable for anybody who like to take care of their skin and who love to pamper themselves.
