If you are like me, you have been told by just about everyone, not to use soap on your face as it will dry out the skin. Not so. Apparently, Dermatologists recommend using a mild soap to be the best way to cleanse your face.
About Clinique Clinique is one of the world's leading brands of skin care, makeup and fragrance products. For those of us that don't use Clinique, there is a good chance that your mum, aunt, sister, cousin or maybe even your brother does.
Clinique started almost 50 years ago in 1968 and has been recognised world-wide for its products, each developed and approved by Clinique's leading Dermatologists.
All Clinique products areallergy-tested and100% fragrance free.
Clinique believes in tailoring their products to the individual skin care needs of their users. This is clearly highlighted in their custom fit 3 step skin care system, of which the newly launched Liquid Facial Soap is a part along with their exfoliate and clarifying lotion and dramatically different moisturising lotion.
What it does Removes facial dirt and oil while working to loosen surface flakes without "stripping" your face in the way some cleansers do. Ideally, you will use this as part of the three step skin care treatment outlined above, although I use it on its own (bad girl!)
You can choose a soap to fit your skin type - Very Dry to Dry, Dry to Combination and Combination Oily to Oily skin. As I have combination skin with some dry patches around the nose and jawline, I use the Dry to Combination soap.
It is worth mentioning that Clinique also do a facial soap bar which claims not to ever dry. I haven't tried this so cannot venture an opinion in this instance.
How to use Using warm water, lather a small amount of the liquid soap between palms. Massage lather over face and throat before rinsing it off and patting the skin dry with a clean towel.
Packaging I would be suprised to hear someone wouldn't recognise Clinique if they saw it, but for those of you who wouldn't Clinique products come in elegant silver and green packaging. The Liquid soap comes in either 100ml or 200ml pump action light green bottles with silver lettering and of course the Clinique logo.
The pump action is really handy and ensures you use the right amount every time. One pump should do most people.
Scent Clinique products are fragerance free.
Price £6.50 per 100ml £13.00 per 200ml More pricey than many cleansers but still good value for money. You use such a small amount each tme I would imagine a 200ml bottle would last several months if used daily.
Where can you buy it? Boots carries a wide range of Clinique products as does Debenhams however, you can also order direct on line through Cliniques own website:www.clinique.co.uk. Delivery is a bit expensive from £4.95 for standard delivery of 2-5 working days up to £10.50 for Saturday deliveries.
Opinion I tried Clinique after bombing out with many, many other products as the dry patches on my face can become itchy and irritated on occassion. I have been using this daily now for less than two weeks but I am very impressed. It doesn't leave my face feeling raw and stripped bare as some cleansers do but instead I feel refreshed, clean and have noticed a marked difference in the smoothness of my face. The dry patches, particularly around my nose have all but disappeared since I started using it which is fantastic.
Sometimes you get what you pay for. I have been so impressed I will be buying the exfoliator and moisturiser to complete the set.
***Cheeky Begging Notice*** Can any parents, carers, people who work with young children or just anyone please have a look at my story (Tomas's dream adventure) and give me your thoughts? I know I'm scrounging which is frowned upon but I need some objective critisism from those best placed to give it. THANK YOU!

Unfortunately even though Clinique allergy test all their stuff - i'm still allergic to it. Ah well, at least the rest of the population can benefit. Alexandra x

This sounds good, if you read my Beauty Challenge, you will see that I could probably benefit from trying this! Karen
