The best thing about this toy though is not what it looks like but what it does. If your child presses down on the cowboy's hat you hear a loud neigh from the horse ... ...time you cah hear it clip clop! It is great fun to watch (if you're two!) and great fun to chase after as well! Both sounds and movement are fairly realistic.

The best thing about this toy though is not what it looks like but what it does. If your child presses down on the cowboy's hat you hear a loud neigh from the horse who then proceeds to take his cowboy for a ride. The horse and cowboy travel for about a distance of one metre before stopping with another neigh! As it moves, all the horse legs are moving up and down and so is its head while all the time you cah hear it clip clop! It is great fun to watch (if you're two!) and great fun to chase after as well! Both sounds and movement are fairly realistic.
Tomy say that it is suitable from eighteen months but my daughter received it as a present on her first birthday. When she first had it she loved to crawl after it. It has been really great to help her develop her manipulative skills as she had to work out how to push it down in order to make it move and also position it in the direction she wants it to go. She also takes gret delight in listening to the different sounds and is now beginning to imitate these. My three year old also loves playing with it and it is often at the centre of her made up stories!
It does require batteries - three AA ones but these seem to last quite a long time. At the moment it is advertised on the Tomy website at a price of £9.99 which doesn't seem too bad as it does provide hours of amusement!
All in all it has been one of my daughter's most played with toys. It is fun, sturdy and (luckily for parents) not too noisy!
