As a smoker I regularly buy lighters, usually going for the cheaper throwaway option as I'm a klutz and lose lighters like I have a lighter tree in the garden. I do like a nice Clipper though, and this is Mark's lighter of choice as he appreciates the fact that they are refillable so he can save...

They get lost easily

~I know I shouldn't, but I do~ Being a smoker, I have had my fair share of lighters over the years, I've had all sorts of fancy novelty lighters, expensive and fashionable lighters, even cheap disposable lighters but I can guarantee once the novelty of whatever lighter I've been using has worn...

Now before I go any further - I am a Zippo fan. There are no two ways about it, nothing replaces a windproof lighter that can withstand even a bullet, but the Clipper comes pretty close! I am guilty of not keeping on top of filling my Zippo with fuel, therefore I frequently go outside for a bit...

Clipper Lighter I used to opt for the clipper lighters all the time when I needed to purchase a lighter from a newsagents but now this is not really the case. These lighters main selling point is the fact that they are re-fillable. They cost a bit more money than buying a disposable lighter but...

Unfortunately, at the age of only almost-29 I am comfortably into my second decade of being a smoker (and scientific studies undertaken by me have deduced that smoking does not make you look cool). When I was younger and a little less taxed financially, I used to always buy Clipper lighters...

“Clipper lighters”

Nice design, refillable

Expensive if you lose them

As a smoker, I have loads of lighters lying around the house but the ones I mainly use are clippers and have done so for quite some time now. Clipper lighters can be found in most supermarkets and shops that sell cigarettes and usually cost around the £1 mark. Clipper lighters are available in a...

When you go on a night out, you do not want to take your expensive lighter with you incase you drunkenly lose it. You always get people asking to borrow it and sometimes they accidently forget to give you it back. When I used to smoke (that’s right I’m a good girl now!) I always used to make sure...

cheap and effective

nothing

We do not smoke in our house but we tend to have a few lighters lying about for one thing or another. I have a large collection of 'fancy' lighters in my display cabinet but for everyday use and for reliability you cannot really go past the Clipper lighter which has been around for donkeys years...
