Wow, What a lovely card! And thank god for that. I had to find a graphics card for my downstairs PC as I bought a 7600GS that didn't work?. Boohoo. I won't review that card as I know it works on most computers just my one didn't so I don't think it's fair I review it.
This card however- well installed it and bingo! Games work. The problem with the 7600 was that 3D applications wouldn't work. So I went back to my norm and stuck with ATi- I've never gone wrong with them.
The X1650Pro is the step up form the X1600 and it has 512MB of RAM. I'm not too sure of the differences between the two but I'm sure this one is faster and has its 512mb of RAM. This enables your games to run smoother and faster. The clock speed is fast and I won't bore you with the details of that but its fast.
The cooling on this chip is done by a fan. It is ...
Advantages: Cheap and fast and stuff! Disadvantages: Crap box design. So ugly!
, but where it counts most is in the gaming. This card is a lower-high specification card or a higher-mid specification card... which ever you prefer... and so comparing it to a similar ranking card is the best way to do it. The RadeonX800 Pro is slower than the GEFORCE 6800 GT, so I will be using the 6800 GT as a comparison. All settings are at 1600 x 1200 with AntiAliasing at 4x and Anistropic Filtering at 8x.
Speed comparison:
X800 XL =
Counter Strike:Source 75FPS
Far Cry 36FPS
Doom 3 29FPS
3DMARK05 4767 3Dmarks
6800 GT =
Counter Strike:Source 62FPS
Far Cry 36FPS
Doom 3 39FPS
3DMARK05 4105 3Dmarks
As you can see, the X800 XL does remarkably well against the 6800 GT card in terms of gaming and 3D clout. The Doom 3 results have to be taken with a pinch of salt since it is a game optimised ...
Advantages: brilliantly amazingly god like card Disadvantages: might melt?! be careful!
Feel as if you need a new ATI Radeon Graphics processing Unit? I highly reccomend this one! its not as powerful as the Nvdia 8800 GTX in some of the stats, but its different in a lot of ways
Gaming companies preferably use the excellent ATI GPU's because they find them more flexible for them and for the consumers. and that is why its worth getting this gpu. It is absoloutly flawless with any game or with any video editing process.
The things that happen within this gpu, are truly quite amazing. It morphs and moulds to the game and gives you the best possible results.
great card however, my personal experaince with cards made by club havent been brilliant. they have helpful staff, however i wouldnt reccomend them 100%
this one is overclocked and is proned to overheating HOWEVER! THERE IS A CONSIDERABLY LARGE FAN TO ASSIST IT ...
