You take the club you've picked through a domestic season, with the clear intention of filling up some of the empty spaces in the trophy cabinet. In doing this, you can use the game's player generator to put yourself into the midst of this team, and then it's down to action.And the action is good. Backed by strong in-game graphics,Club Footballoffers an enjoyable rendition of the beautiful game, which endears itself to a healthy, long term challenge. There are a couple of quibbles that temper things a little. The fluidity of the gameplay, for instance, is sometimes hampered by an over-insistence on a good animation instead of a quick pass for example, and there are other mild issues that slightly break up the flow of things.Yet considering the healthy state of the competition, with bothFIFA 2004andPro Evolution Soccer 3putting in strong performances, it's to the credit ofClub Footballthat it does enough to make it well worth considering. As it stands, it's not the best title of its ilk on the market, but it's a good, promising debut. --Simon Brew

I have been an avid Leeds supporter since the age of 6. I went to my first ever game at the age of 6 when the mighty whites took on Chelsea and murdered them 4-0 on the 14th of October 1994. I can remember when the first goal went in. I actually missed it. There was a goalless first half and me and my uncle had gone to get a pie at half time. Unfortunately the whole of Eland Road did at the same time. We got our pies just as the whistle blew and were running back to our seats when we heard the ground rejoice. LEEDS HAD SCORED! It was a pity I missed it.
By writing this review I have broken a promise I made to myself. I said I was NOT going to write another review unless I would get paid for it, but seeing Manchester United being the most popular club made me sick. I just had to write an opinion about my beloved Leeds ...

Advantages: In the Leeds end no-one stops singing, brilliant atmosphere Disadvantages: Loss of Voice, Loss of Hearing
Bad times for LeedsUnited at the moment languishing in league one after 2 failed promotions and rapid decline from the premier league. They were in the champions league semi-final 7 years ago against Real Madrid but what happened? The club went into turmoil and hasn't recovered yet.
However what I love about Leeds is that the fans have not deserted them at all and if you go to Elland Road your in for one hell of a day/night. The atmosphere is absolutley electric especially when the ground is full people actually lose their voices from singing and their hearing the roars of songs and cheering.
My friend who is a Liverpool fan went to Elland Road with me once 34,000+ were in against Northampton and he said he has never experienced such noise and couldn't believe the mexican wave that went on for 10 minutes and the song of We are ...

Advantages: Getting to the semi finals Disadvantages: None!! - it was that good
. But the referee allowed the goal to stand. It was sad exit from the competition but Leeds had done themselves proud.
Final Score: Valencia 3-0 LeedsUnited

LeedsUnited had only expected to come out of the competition with some pride in their game, and not even in their wildest dreams had thought about getting to the semi finals. Leeds have certainly proved themselves as a top European side who can compete against any team, and have certainly done everybody involved in the club of LeedsUnited extremely proud. ...

The silky gameplay and the smoothness of the game itself explains why many people see this series of games as the best ever created.
however, the game is not perfect quite yet. The players are not as detailed as they are on FIFA, and the lack of all the correct licenses for player names and team names (though improved on the last game) can get annoying. (*)
