Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force (Nintendo DS)

Reasons for Purchase: When we decided that our daughter was old enough to have some access to a nintendo ds, a platform which we, her parents, had been playing with before she was so much as a gleam in her daddy's eye, we soon discovered that kids' games that are designed by people who actually understand kids are fewer and further between than you would think. The game is pretty basic, with good colouring throughout, but it has a nice style and the simplicity works well for the target age group. There is a certain amount of vagueness that potentially makes the game more difficult. If a player gets stuck there isn't a lot in the game that says what to do next. There is a lot of reading through speach bubbles between the penguins, though the reading level is very basic. I bought this game and I love it! I'm always on it and can never come away. It is quite good value and has 13 missions. The missions are pretty easy though and probaly can be completed in a few weeks. The thing I dislike is that you need a internet connection to upload coins onto your online Club Penguin account. You also get a code which you can upload on www.clubpenguin.com. You can do multiplayer but i havent worked out how do it yet. The sound is excellant. Sometimes I have to turn the sound down because it comes out so loud. I think that they should have more missions or harder missions ... more
