CoPilot Live 6 Review +Important N95 Information

Advantages: Very Easy to install, use and great value for money
Disadvantages: If zoomed in & are on a roundabout arrow can be a little hard to read

a box would come up telling me exactly what the speed of the car was travelling at. Bearing in mind that this wasn?t attached to the car in anyway i was amazed. There a range of different view of maps that you view them in for example there?s Hawk eye- looking straight down, there is a 3D view which in my view was the best. You could zoom into the maps quite well. The only problem i had with the software was that at first when fully zoomed in the arrow was a little large and I took a few wrong turnings but i got to read the arrow better the more i used it. Upon start up there is an option for the maps to update themselves which is very helpful. A very important feature of the co-pilot is the live update feature that can be enabled, this means that if there has been an accident or roadworks then it will connect via GRPS and re-route you to ...

Google Maps

Advantages: Easy, free, fast, reliable
Disadvantages: None

Google Maps is easily my favourite and the best free online source for directions. The directions you receive from Google Maps are always accurate and correct and get you to your destination easily and fast. I will always use Google Maps until the day I get lost using the directions it gives me which I doubt will ever happen. All you have to do is enter your postcode and enter the postcode of your destination and it immediately gives you a fast, easy route to get there, just like a SatNav would. Also the fact that you can change your route if you need to like, lets say you need to pick someone up in a different town on the way, you can change your route to make it go past the place you need to pick them up. Overall, I think that Google Maps is easily the best source of directions on the internet. ...

A package of maps worth having

Having used a Tom Tom Go 700 for a number of years, I decided to update the maps of Western Europe. Tom Tom uses software called Tom Tom Home which is used to download the updated maps. Having connected Tom Tom Go 700 to my PC, via a USB cable, it was a simple matter of clicling on the relevant icon on the Home Software, paying for the maps, and downloading them over the internet. Payment was straight forward. It is undertaken electronically either by credit or debit card, and the down load commenced. Because of the size of the map file, it took a little time to download (I do have broadband running at 8mb band width, so I suppose a lesser bandwith will take longer.
