Advantages Basic good stuff. Screw top, Good to support local growers

Disadvantages Like the fairtrade idea

The first review was right about most wine descriptions are b*ll**s.

Soft to me seems to mean red wine not fermented out to full dry ness. This is important as a lot of main courses are quite sweet these days. Also most people seem to expect red to be off fry rather than dry these days.

Structured seems to mean fairly tannic in varying degrees like bordeaux. Some people like their teaspoon to stand up in the cup others don't. This is important. This wine is a tad more structured than I would expect. but fine to my taste.

Cabernet franc grape wine is supposed to smell of violets. My wife has just bought me a bowl of violets for my 58th birthday so I could find out what this meant. as I had never smelt violets. II wonder if Jilly ever has. No one really gives a t**s on this one.

Saying a wine smells of saddle leather makes me thing of young ladies in jodphurs and puts off my drinking for a short while.

This is good basic plonk but do expect to be paying a premium for thefair trade. I would rather buy the makers next quality level up and have to pay that little bit extra as well rather than instead off
