Co-op Insurance is tops for personal touch
Advantages: Prompt service,Great prices, Mutual company, no obligation Disadvantages: none so far
After asking for information on the products and services offered by the C.I.S on their website, I received a home visit.
The representative called me to arrange a suitable time for his visit, and arrived promptly with his bag of tricks. He started by doing a complete financial review and making sure we were aware that we were under no obligation to follow his recommendations.
We were stunned by the price of the life ... ...that immediately. Because of the society's mutuality they can give realistic prices for their products. Our Home insurance was also due for renewal so we asked for a quote for that, we had been paying over £10 per month for our old policy which was basic to say the least. We were given top of the range insurance for the same price.
So when our car insurance comes up for renewal we will be calling Brian to get a quote because we think ... more

Because of the society's mutuality they can give realistic prices for their products. So when our car insurance comes up for renewal we will be calling Brian to get a quote because we think he is the tops, friendly and not at all pushy. if you need insurance , or even just financial advice call your local rep. or log on to the net and leave your details, someone will come and speak to you in the comfort of your own home. I really cannot recommend them highly enough.

After 30 yr. of paying for Life Insurance with profits i decided to surrender my policy (needed the money) after four months of 5 letters2 emails and numerous phone calls i am still trying to get MY money.
Have been told i had not paid in what i said i had, then told that i had after proving it myself. the final amount went up and down like a yoo yoo. The right hand dosen't know what the left hand is doing. There a bit to quick at taking your money ... ...there slower than a snail going backward. Oh and don't bother trying to get hold of the chairman he dosen't talk to peasants. Still waiting for money date 22/may/06. Put your money in a tin under the bed at least then you can get it when you need it.
4/june/06 It gets worse, rang agian for paper work to sign, so i could cash my policy in, they sent me a letter with the same phone number on that i had just rang, saying ring this number and ask for ...

I first heard of CIS insurance through my parents. My Father was looking for insurance for my mum and stumbled across CIS in the pursuit of the cheapest quote. This was around 10 years ago now but the company at the time was the cheapest.
I followed suit when I passed my test - although to keep the cost lower I insured the car in my mum's name (as she was older)?. However the downside to this through insuring with CIS is that the car needs to be registered in the policyholder's name. So my car is now registered under my mum's name!
The quote was reasonable, bearing in mind that the policy covered any driver of any age. In addition my partner had 3 speeding points on his license - CIS stated that they ignore the first speeding offence so this did not affect the quote price - BONUS!

Advantages: Reasonable premiums. Good glass cover Disadvantages: Its car insurance, therefore its an unwanted expense isn't it
it does help to have this service. In no way has my premium been affected my two glass claims, indeed my insurance did come down at last renewal.
I may shop around again at renewal but as I am happy with the service, why waste time. Maybe when I surpass 25 (I’m 24 still) then I may do so…….. ...

Whilst in the work car park I reversed into another car that was speeding back from lunch as she was late – it was deemed to be my fault, so I paid my excess, felt annoyed and thought nothing more about it.
