Full review
I have enjoyed diet coke for years and the recent introduction of caffeine free diet coke was great news!

LOOKS

This variety comes in a light gold 330ml standard size can and has black and red writing on it. It has the standard ringpull on the top which pushes the tin opening down into the tin, as opposed to the old style of ringpull where you had to pull it off the can - which almost always went wrong for me!

This can's design certainly doesn't let coca cola down and in my opinion looks smart enough and trendy.

TASTE

If you like diet coke, then why not give this one a try. I can not taste any difference in the flavour. As an alternative to coca cola (full sugar version!), then I think you would be disappointed as this is definitely a lot less sweet than that. I find coca cola to be somewhat sickly and sweet but the caffeine free version leaves no aftertaste and is a nice refreshing option. The drink is best sampled chilled in the fridge. If you can't wait that long, then drop some ice in it and that should do the job nicely!

GOODNESS

It has sweeteners in it, but no sugar or caffeine. There is no fat in this drink and no carbohydrates either. There are 0.4 kcal in each 100 ml, so if you drink a 330ml can you are only having just over 1 calorie. If you compare this with other drinks, then I think you will impressed with this. It certainly is a tasty refreshing drink, so it does your taste buds good. Caffeine is well known as a dehydrating agent and it can cause hyperventilation in certain people, therefore anything that minimises your intake must be good news.

VALUE FOR MONEY

Caffeine free diet coke is no more expensive than any other varieties produced by Coca Cola and is cheapest to buy in 2 litre bottles from supermarkets. If you shop around, you can sometimes find offers of 2 for a reduced price.

AVAILABILITY

This is the only area where this drink is lacking.

It is not readily available in pubs, restaurants, vending machines or in some supermarkets.

This is very frustrating as this is my first choice of diet drink.

You will only occasionally find this in news agents and it is safest to go to a large food store if you particularly want this drink.

OVERALL IMPRESSION

Overall, I really like this drink and I strongly recommend it if you want a diet drink that is very low calorie and you are conscious of your caffeine intake.
