No matter how many reviews I read, no matter how many people tried to tell me otherwise, I refused myself to believe that a soft drink manufactured by coca cola had no sugar or fat content, despite a much convincing name! I struggled even more to come to terms with the fact that it had less than 1 calorie! This just seemed so unlikely and, in my mind, quite impossible!
Though, I'll never be one to turn to arrogance; I was prepared to open my mind and consider that this may well be the case. Perhaps, in this day in age where anything can happen, they had come up with alternatives and there really was a fizzy drink out there with such minor nutrition values! There was only one thing to do to rest my mind; see for myself!
Before our weekly trip to Asda, I added Coca Cola Zero to the shopping list. As we headed up the drinks aisle, my head was rotating from left to right, my eyes scanning the shelves for the correct bottle. Eventually, near the end, I spotted it! I dived over and twisted it around, turning my attention to the nutrition label, which was fortunately clearly printed (there's nothing worse than having to fumble for ages with packages in shops). My eyes about popped out my head when I read the figures. I was baffled, to say the least! The rumours were true; this really was low in everything! The mounts of zeros were glorious, and straight into the trolley the bottle went, without a second thought!
About The Drink
>>Packaging The Coca Cola bottle is made out of plastic (yes - recyclable!), with a tougher plastic black lid. The label of the bottle is black also, with just a splash of red colour on it. This looks amazing with the black liquid visible from inside. In my opinion, it gives the bottle a stylish, more modern appearance than other cola products! Packaging is very important when it comes to the manufacture of products, as it is the first thing we as customers see when browsing the items! Luckily, the Coca Cola Zero has a fantastic image and stands out on the shelf, looking attractive amongst the other bottles.
>>Fizzing Up! I can't normally drink fizzy juice; it makes me feel ill. I was a bit wary of trying this, in case I was left with the same sickening feeling inside me. Fortunately, it seemed to agree with me. This was odd, as I thought it was extra fizzy compared to normal cola! It sort of fizzed over the side of my glass as I poured it, but I managed to sip up most of the foam before too much mess was caused!
>>The Taste; Because of the low values, I expected Zero to have a very flat and bland taste. Unlike many people I know, the taste of Cola is not something I crave or go mad for, but it's not as if I can't drink it. I would not say there is anything special about the Cola taste either! As I lifted my cup up to my lips and took a sip of the frothy Zero, I was amazed by its great taste! The entire sensation was a lot stronger than that of ordinary Cola, or Diet Cola! The taste was not entirely different though, it still had that powerful kick in it, the taste of a caffeine over-dose! Something I never thought I would say; I am now addicted to the great taste of Coca Cola Zero! Unfortunately, I still can't drink large quantities, as the fizz still leaves me feeling incredibly ill.
>>Nutrition; It seems like this is going to create a big, empty space…it's called 'Zero' because of a lack of nutritional value! Nevertheless…

Would I Recommend?
Well, if you drink a lot of ordinary Cola but want to start watching the calorie intake, then I'd certainly suggest switching to this! Though, if you do not like to intake any of those extra sweeteners etc that can be found in this, then it's a no. If you do not already drink any fizzy drinks, then I will not suggest you start as a) it's addictive and b) even Zero is bad for you in its own way! Besides, the fizz ruins your teeth too if you drink too much, so I'd say will power is needed to keep your cravings for this sugary sweet drink at bay! Purely based on the taste though, I would definitely recommend Coca Cola Zero!
***** I don't regret buying Coca Cola Zero, not at all. And now I do believe people when they say it has no calories, sugar or fat content! I'm personally not fussed about the sweeteners etc included in it to develop the great fizzy sensation, so there are no problems there! I have quite a bit of will power too, so as long as I don't drink it on a daily basis, then I should be ok! I will most definitely be purchasing this delicious and sweet Cola option again!

...as a lover of normal coca-cola I wanted to see what all of the fuss was about.
I must admit that the black packaging had put me off a bit, I mean, unless its a sleek new 'phone or dress to dine out in, black is not really a colour that can enthuse me enough to get my taste buds a jingle!
Any way, I was lucky, (well so I thought) I was given a free sample to try on Victoria station. Okay, so the packaging - what I had seen and what I was expecting ... ...at it, but was excited to see what all the hype was about.
Anyway I carried the container onto the tube with me -ready to take a sip - but just as I was about to , I noticed a messy ink stain on my hand, my hand was literally black from holding the can. Not a good start for the new product. I did not open the container but concentrated on wiping my hand. I did not want to pick up the drink again, but felt bad leaving it, so wrapped it in the tissue ...

Advantages: The taste and no calories Disadvantages: None
Coke zero is the newest and supposedly hottest coke brand, its being marketed for those who want maximum taste without the sugars, preservatives and comes in a catching black background with zero in bold white letters. Coke zero has become in its short period on the market one of the most popular coke drinks, and though pepsi max might be a better product its bold design and imaginative advertising has made it a market leader. Coke zero tastes different ... ...rather than the sugary normal coke whereas coke zero has a more similar taste to normal coke but without the sugar coating and killing your taste buds. Coke zero contains Carbonated water Acesulfame phosphate Aspartame Caffeine Phosphoric acid Sodium citrate and according to the Coke zero web page contains zero calories, coke zero tastes great and as it has no calories is obviously useful for anyone trying to lose weight but the aspartame and phosphoric ...

Advantages: No Sugar, No Fats Disadvantages: Possible problems with substances, Poor taste, over bubbliness
Completing the Grandslam of Coca-Cola and their 4 main drinks is the Coca-Cola Zero drink that is quite similar to Diet Coke in the selling points of the product as it's there to be low in Sugar and Calories. Hopefully however this didn't follow in it's Diet brother footsteps too much, as that was an appalling drink that seemed to rip up the Coca-Cola name and try to destroy it in 1 fell swoop. This however seems to be seen as the direct rival to ... ...whilst the bottle keeps the Coca-Cola design of a “mutated rocket” bottle with the Coca-Cola logo on the side. The label as in common in the industry mentions the nutritional information and the ingredients used in the product, whilst the black looks rather sleek and sexy, rather alluring to be honest. The deep dark caramel matching the packaging almost perfectly, a clever idea well done, sadly the trick was missed with Cherry Coke which would have ...

Advantages: Tastes Like The Real Thing, No Sugar, Low Calories. Disadvantages: Contains Aspartame And Lots Of Caffeine.
Coca Cola Zero was launched in the United States during the early part of 2005 and reached the UK at the back end of that same year. This product has recently been the subject of a massive advertising campaign here in the UK, and finally I have succumb the temptation and decided to give it a try.
This latest addition to Coca Cola's Soft Drink's portfolio has been launched in response to criticisms that most other Diet Soft Drinks are tasteless, ... ...as a direct rival to the World's current biggest selling Diet Cola - Pepsi Max.
If we are to believe the advertising blurb then we are told that this is something new and exciting, but one thing that we are not told is that this new and exciting Drink is a Diet Drink at all. In fact the marketing people at Coca Cola are making a real conscious effort to avoid the word Diet completely, and instead Coca Cola Zero is described simply as a zero Sugar ...

Reviews which might be of interest for "Coca-Cola Zero"
Advantages: No sugar or fat and low in Calories Disadvantages: Taste, turns to bubbles in your mouth, taste and I might have forgot to mention the taste?
The third of my Coke Grandslam reviews was picked at random from the bag I took to work with a bottle of Coca-ColaZero and Diet Coke, Diet Coke it was. So for those who are rather overweight, chubby, ?cuddley? (like myself obviously) this should be the Coke aimed for you. I know we should be eating salads and drinking water rather than drinking Coke, but if you want something a little more flavoured than water then maybe this was CocaCola's brilliant idea.
As with all the Coca-Cola\Coke range of drinks it comes in a transparent bottle which has the Coca-Cola ?deformed? rocket bottle with the logo's on it. This one has a white cap and a silver label, making it unique in the range for not having a matching cap-label combination. The transparent bottle does little to hide the trademark caramel colour of the group of drinks. The silver ...

Advantages: - Disadvantages: waste, disgusting etc.
Coca-Cola IS DISGUSTING.
I hate coca-cola, it's fizzy and all this sugar and whatever else they shove in there.
Not to mention if you are like my mum it is extremely bad for you.
The dentist will tell you how it rots your teeth. But most of all they sell you a load of rubbish for £1 (roughly). Go to 99p and under store and you can buy yourself a canvas for 99p (for art) (much better for your money).
Another reason to not like Coca-cola is that they make loads of money. You know. the most I have ever had to do with coca-cola was cokezone.co.uk and i got a free adiddas jacket :)... I am still not sure how. I used to ask me people to give me their empty coke bottles and they a have code underneath... Yeah, a bit budget but still it was free.
But back to coca-cola. its made Coca-cola, Coke zero, Diet coke, Coca-cola Cherry, Oasis, Dr ...

CocaColaZero first hit the shelves a couple of years accompanied by a very macho TV campaign. I'm not sure if it was deliberately aimed at the male market but the packaging at least has a very masculine look to it and perhaps testosterone filled, heterosexual men who don't cry would prefer to be seen drinking this as opposed to the standard diet version.
I first tried this having drunk Dr Pepper and Lilt zero versions and being quite impressed. I am not a fan of Diet CocaCola in the slightest as I've always found it to taste very watery. Give me a full fat, full sugar CocaCola over the diet version any day! But I decided to give this a go.
As with most CocaCola drinks, the Zero version is available in 500ml and 2 litre bottles. I have to admit, I'm not 100% sure if it comes in cans. The bottle looks the same as most other ...
