Advantages: Easy to use Disadvantages: Coffee tastes of plastic, sticker across the front that won't come off
Took the product out of the box and there was a huge sticker stuck across the front that would not come off. Spent nearly half an hour trying to peel off this sticker in tiny pieces. When it did finally come off left a big mark right across the front where the sticker was. This will not come off so the whole thing just looks cheap and tacky.
Ran the machine through with clean water as per instructions, then made coffee. Water is easy to fill up, ...

Review of Prestige 50668
Advantages: variable concentration, fits most kitchens, good price Disadvantages: coffee doesn't stay hot for long
simple to use standard coffee maker, okay for price & you do have the additional option of making the coffee more concentrated, I used mine for about 6 months but as I drink a lot of coffee throughout the day I wanted to upgrade as this wasn't getting the coffee hot enough & it did cool quickly, good for those who want a couple of cups in succesion or if you are going to use the entire pot of coffee immediately, durable enough for light use but definitely ... ...mine in the microwave on more than one occasion but the first cup was okay. Small enough for most kitchens & modern design/colour that would fit most decors too. So it's not the best but it's not the worst. I have put that I would recommend this coffee maker but it would be on the basis of the above experience. ...
Advantages: Very, very simple to use Disadvantages: Hate cleaning the filter!!
Of all the various lovely wedding presents we received this has got to be one of the best, a simple, easy to use coffee machine. NOT one of these new-fangled 101gadgets that you never use jobs. Just quick, easy and simple. Add the coffee (I find that 3/4 scoops of filter is enough for 10 cups), add the cold water and press the on button. In about 5-8 minutes coffee ready made. It's great for when guests descend upon you at a moments notice (your ... ...don't have to make 10 cups of coffee everytime. Just fill the water to the desired level for the number of cups you want and add less coffee (say 1/2 scoop for two cups). There's even a fancy dial on top to adjust the strength of the coffee if you want to get all technical! I can't really comment on the price as it was given as a present but I don't think it's likely to break the bank
Only thing I don't like is having to clean the filter when you're ...
Advantages: great tasting coffee at a drinkable temperature Disadvantages: looks quirky (but maybe you like that)
...and finally decided upon the Kenwood CM651. While scouring the market we discovered many different coffee machines which were adorned with various spangaly extras such as timers and "aroma switches" but to be honest - all we wanted was a decent cup of COFFEE! THe Kenwood CM651 has a fairly basic design (which is exactly what we wanted - less to go wrong) Water is poured into the back reservoir which is easily accessable. We use the glass jug for ... ...dribbles! The Kenwoods capacity is 13 cups which is rather generous amount for such a petite design. As we are normally making coffee for two, filling up to the 4cup level makes two rather generous mug-fulls with some to spare or share if we are feeling generous.
The design of the water jug looks odd and dispropotioned - however it pours like a dream, so we're not arguing with the design boffins over that one.
A button on the top of the machine ...
