Delonghi ICM2 Coffee Maker
Advantages: Ease of Use, inexpensive Disadvantages: no cord storage
Bought this from Homebase For £12.99. Its available in Black or white, it is basic its only function button being the on/off button on the front, although there is a more expensive model which has auto timer if needed. It has a permanent washable filter which is handy and also a money saver. It makes at least 10 decent mug sizes of coffee and keeps it adequately hot. The water filter runs around the rear of the filter and has transparent sides and ...

Don't do it
Advantages: choice of strong or weak coffee Disadvantages: Had a poor feel about it - cheap plastic feel
I bought this for a present for my husband and was duly disappointed by the cheap feel the machine had. When it worked it worked well. There is a choice of strong or weak coffee (my moving a very cheap, plastic lever). The coffee it produced was very nice and not at all bitter. The shape of the coffee jug made it difficult to pour water into the back of the machine, or to pour coffee into a cup without spilling some. It lasted approximately 8 months ...

MMMMM Gorgeous Coffee Each Time
Advantages: Pretty quick, makes a gorgeous coffee Disadvantages: requires a lot of cleaning
Well, i had the DC300 bought me as a present from Argos i think, because i am a coffee lover and wasnted a good one, with a good name.
well my aunt was right by buying a Delonghi, it is made of really tough plastic, it still goes strong although its been boxed cos i got no-where to put it, only having a small kitchen.
all you need to do is put in your ground coffee and water, push the button, wait a 'few' mins (bout 4-5) and the water starts dripping ... ...is that it requires alot of cleaning, and you know how hard milk is to remove especially when rock hard!
other than that though it is a brill machine makes a great cuppa, and i found instead of coffee in the filter part you can make a mean cup of tea! ...

Looks are not all they are cracked up to be
Advantages: Makes the coffee pretty quickly, and keeps it hot, and the looks are good. Disadvantages: Jug leaks, price
Have had this coffee machine for about 18 months now, and as the last reviewer said, the lid of my jug came off after only a few days. Never been near a dishwasher but was unable to get it replaced by De Longhi. After a few months water also began to appear from underneath the machine, but I perserved with it, becauses it does make very nice coffee!
It has a control for making your coffee lighter or darker, and after many experiments could see that ... ...I like it strong so was happy.
The removable water jug with descaler was awkward as the centre section would float about and had to be pushed in.
Unfortunately I purchased on looks and on the basis that the manufacturer was well known and reliable. I would not recommend this to anyone, and really wish I had got my act together and returned it when the jug began to leak. ...

For the price you can't go far wrong.
Advantages: Cheap, easy to clean, cheap, makes great coffee, cheap. Disadvantages: Filter lets some fine sediment through.
After the company I work for refused to renew the contract for the Tea & Coffee vending machines, myself and my co-workers were left without our daily caffeine hits. I got the machine from Argos for about £5 and for the price I was expecting a very flimsy bit of kit that would last about 5 minutes. It looks and feels very cheap but it makes hot coffee and that's the main thing. So far it has been running 40 hours a week over the last 6 months. At ... ...away with use. It says that you can get 12 cups from one pot but in reality you can only get about 8 or 9 average sized paper cups. The only real bad point is that the built in filter is rather coarse and lets some sediment through. Use with disposable filters is recommended. ...
