Irn Bru

Advantages: Delicious!
Disadvantages: None!

...on the same plane as Barr (this is not some kind of badly timed April Fools joke, it's true! - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/8066968.stm), but there are officially 32 different ingredients making up a unique tasting beverage. Some official ingredients that are known include... Carbonated water, sugar (carbohydrate), citric acid, flavourings (including caffeine and quinine), preservative (E211), colours (E110, E124), ammonium ferric citrate ...
...on the taste, but thing a mass-fruity taste...like mixed Tizer and Fanta. Which may sound horrible, but it's not, it's Irn Bru! In every 100 millilitres there are 43 calories, and 10.5 grams of carbohydrates, which emphasis the amount of sugar contained in the drink. Of course, sticking with the diet version will cut that out completely, but then again it wouldn't be 'made with girders'...as the advertising slogan once went! At present, you can pick ...

Sticky!

Advantages: A cool can design
Disadvantages: It is just far too sweet!

I usually only drink diet drinks...not because I am health concious...but I actually prefer the taste. I don't enjoy the coating of sugar you get on your teeth when you drink sugary drinks at all and often, I will brush my teeth straight away afterwards! I had a can of 7up this evening for the first time ina few years. I had let it chill in the fridge for a while and it was nice and cold...and straight from the can. I do think that drinks taste better ...
...is the metallic feel I enjoy! 7up comes in a very distinctive green can withe the 7up logo boldy established as the centre piece of the can design. I had a good look at the information that the can provides for me in terms of health and well being and was hardly surprised to learn that a can o fthe stuff contains 135 calories.... look carefully at the ingrediants and you will see the second item is SUGAR...and lots of it! The juice is flavoured naturally...apparently ...

Sparkle Sparkle

Advantages: Tastes great
Disadvantages: None

Shloer is a line of non-alcoholic drinks that have always been a favourite of mine for many a year. They are primarily made from grape juice and are of the sparkling variety. Unlike most soft-drinks however they are marketed exclusively towards adults. This doesn't mean however that they are not suitable for children because they are; I have drunk them from being a young child. They are marketed like this simply because they do have an adult appeal ...
...up soft drink" Shloer is primarily sold in one litre bottles in most supermarkets and I have just recently seen and purchased it in smaller 275mlbottles, this however was in my local branch of Heron, frozen foods and I have not seen them in the supermarket, but they may well be there. At this point in time I am not aware of Shloer being sold in pubs or restaurants which I think is a shame because it does like nice poured in a wine glass, in fact ...

The way to combat Piggy Flu?

Advantages: Taste, Price, Smoothness
Disadvantages: Whats the worst that could happen? It may not actually work as a Painkiller >_>...or stop pig flu

...the hat off the poor Dr seemed to anger them, they shouted at me, as if to suggest they were full of feelings and annoyance that I was to intrude upon them. So to suggest the bottle is anything less than fresh would be ludicrous, the fizz was spitting out of the top of the bottle making a run for freedom like a caged animal that had seen it's chance to run. That was opening of the Dr's special medicine, which was a little angrier than I expected. ...
...and bottled, viola you have Dr Pepper, Dr Graham Pepper? Looking on the belt, the little description on the bottle labels the drink as a “fruit flavoured soft drink”, now to people like me (“ill” people) that's a little bit confusing, as lets be honest, we hear “fruit flavoured soft drink” and expect something with a base from Orange, Lemon, Lime, Blackcurrants or even Pineapple. The fact it's Cinnamon is a little weird but that clever Dr of ours ...

There IS pineapple in here . . . somewhere!

Advantages: good balance of sweetness and sharpness, interesting taste
Disadvantages: quite high in sugar

...bitter - the fact that Lilt is carbonated does balance out any sourness. I don't know whether I can actually taste anything I could define as pineapple but it occurs to me that this could be the "sweet" flavour I detected. Overall, I find the flavour is quite well-balanced. It's not so sweet that it would get sickly if you were drinking it in hot weather, but then it's not sour or bitter to the point where those with a sweet tooth might be seriously ...
...The slightly misleading thing about Lilt - if you can call it misleading - is that (with the exception of the canned version) the bottles are a fairly vivid green. I must give the manufacturers credit for theming their packaging around that "totally tropical taste" they say Lilt possesses, because this bottle is the kind of green you'd expect to find on a parrot somewhere in a hot country! The only thing I have to wonder is, if anybody is put off ...
